Zooey Deschanel was a plus one for Property Brothers’ star Jonathan Scott to his brother JD Scott and Annalee Belle's wedding. The unorthodox wedding was a lively costume celebration on Halloween.
After 39-year-old New Girl star, Zooey announced her split with husband of four years Jacob Pechenik in September and was spotted with 41-year-old Property Brothers star Jonathan. Property Brothers, a staple of HGTV since 2011, consists of twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott and older brother JD Scott who help couples transform their fixer-uppers into dream homes. The reality TV star has recently confirmed the relationship with the actress. It was revealed that Jonathan and Deschanel met on the set of Carpool Karaoke and the pair had instant chemistry. Since their many dates, Zooey's estranged husband and father of her two children has filed officially for divorce earlier this month.
JD, often referred to as the third brother of Property Brothers, has recently opened about having a rare illness that has plagued him for the last two years. His then-fiancé, Annabelle, took care of him while he experienced strange and painful symptoms. JD thought he was dying and thought he'd never see the day that he'd be marrying the love of his life, Annabelle. The day did come and the two were married this Halloween and decided to celebrate their union with a costume party. Jonathan and his plus one, Zooey, went to the costume party wedding dressed as Batman and Catwoman. The actress went to Instagram to talk about her experience and joy of being able to attend such a beautiful and unique wedding. She posted some pictures of the evening, see the photos below:
The first picture shows husband and wife embracing in what looks like a backyard wedding. The second picture shows Jonathan and Zooey in their costumes. Zooey captioned the pic, "It’s the first time I’ve ever been cat-woman escorted to a fancy dress party wedding by Batman." She continued, "Only for the nuptials of @mrjdscott and @annaleebelle could I be so inspired!" The actress congratulated the new couple, writing, "Congrats to these gorgeous and gracious love birds, I was overjoyed to celebrate such a happy union!" Both the bride and groom were quick to comment on the photo how happy they were to have her in attendance.
The fact that Zooey is fitting in so beautifully and effortlessly into the Scott family really shows what a good match her and Jonathan are. Fans can only hope that this quirky couple will last and hope that the next wedding pictures we see from the Property Brothers family are of her and Jonathan. It remains to be seen how everything will work out, but for now, the new couple seems very happy and is taking it a day at a time.
