Funko's Funkoween is coming up quick, celebrating the fall favorite holiday of Halloween through special edition figures that reflect the spooky holiday. What more fitting character for halloween than one of the scariest villains/anti-heros of them all, Venom? The Halloweenification doesn't end there though, as this is no normal Venom, but instead a new Marvel Zombies Venom Funko Pop! vinyl has been announced, just in time for zombie season.
While many fans may be familiar with Venom, after all he is one of Spider-man's most instantly recognizable adversaries, not everyone may be aware of the zombie version. Marvel Zombies is a spin off series that collides the world of Marvel that fans are familiar with with a massive zombie apocalypse. The series shows off different heroes and villians in a zombified state after the world is invaded by an alien zombie plague, and, regardless of if you enjoy the series or not, any fan of halloween is sure to love this Pop! figure.

Like many Funko drops, this piece is exclusive to one retailer, with that retailer being Gamestop. This Pop! looks absolutely stellar, featuring a design that makes it appear like a zombie is hiding beneath the symbiote. With one traditional Venom eye, and then one traditional Funko eye, fans can truly see where the zombie pops (yes, the pun was intended) out. The neon green slime really pops (yes, there is the pun again) against the contrasting black color of Venom, and really makes this figure shine with its unique stance, challenging the complaint that many have that most funkos are just the same thing reskinned.
The figure actually comes as part of a larger line of Marvel Zombies pops, meaning fans have the chance to snag other favorite characters in their zombie form. What is important to note is that they aren't all Gamestop exclusives, in fact the exclusivity of different characters is spread amongst different stores, so collectors will have to be sure to check which retailer has what if they want to collect them all. The line is absolutely massive, and features some other really sick pieces such as a really impressive glow in the dark zombie Wolverine, and a wild looking zombified Silver Surfer.
This new Marvel Zombies Venom Funko Pop! vinyl is sure to go fast, so any collector that needs this piece for their ever growing library of Funko's needs to be primed and ready.
