A new poster for Zombieland 2: Double Tap has been released. The first Zombieland (directed by  Ruben Fleischer) was released 10 years ago and saw Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) team up with Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) as they travel across a zombie-infested America.

With Zombieland getting mainly positive reviews as well as making Sony a lot of money, a sequel wasn't a matter of if, but when. Amazon tried to make a Zombieland TV series in 2013, but was quickly dropped due to negative response. A sequel was rumored to be in development for years and it was previously reported that a test-screening of Zombieland 2 happened in mid-2018, but production for Zombieland 2 didn't even start until January of this year. Fans now know that Zombieland 2 is officially happening with the original cast returning, and a new poster has been revealed for the film.

The new poster was first shared on the official Twitter of Zombieland 2: Doubletap. This new poster shows mass destruction happening in the shape of a number 2, while revealing a monster truck, the White House, and the Washington Monument. Fans got their first look at the cast when a Zombieland 10 year challenge was posted on Twitter, but this poster reveals a bit more about the film. Zombieland 2: Double Tap's full tweet can be seen below.

This film will no doubt be more successful than the Amazon series since the original cast is returning, but Zombieland 2: Double Tap will also be adding some new cast members to the series. Notable additions to the cast include Rosario Dawson and Luke Wilson, as well as Dan Aykroyd, who will reportedly have a role along with returning cast member Bill Murray. Zoey Deutch and Thomas Middleditch will also appear in the film.

Given the landmarks in this poster, it's possible that this film will show the gang taking a road trip to Washington, D.C. since the long winding road leads to the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. Zombieland 2: Double Tap will be released this October, but Sony still hasn't released a trailer. It's possible that they will reveal something during this year's San Diego Comic-Con, but nothing besides this poster has been revealed thus far. However, with the release date of Zombieland 2: Double Tap quickly approaching, fans can expect to see something soon.
