Here's a guide to the career of actress and filmmaker Zoe-Lister Jones. Like many up and coming performers, Zoe Lister-Jones made her television debut in the Law & Order franchise, appearing in an episode of the short-lived Trial By Jury in 2005; she would later play different characters in episodes of Special Victim's Unit and Criminal Intent. In 2007 she played a lead role in comedy-drama Arranged, where her character bonds with a Muslim woman (Francis Benhamou ) over their upcoming arranged marriages.

The movie received good reviews, and Zoe Lister-Jones would follow up with movie and television projects such as Goyband, an episode of HBO comedy Bored To Death and movie thriller State Of Play. In 2009 she co-wrote and played a lead role in romantic drama Breaking Upwards, about a couple who carefully plan their own breakup. Next up were small roles in Angelina Jolie blockbuster Salt and she played a therapist in Adam McKay comedy The Other Guys.

Zoe Lister-Jones was part of Adult Swim comedy Delocated for two seasons as Kim, and later co-wrote and co-starred in Greta Gerwig comedy Lola Versus in 2012. From 2011 she played a major role on NBC sitcom Whitney, where she appeared in every episode. She soon moved on to CBS sitcom Friends With Better Lives alongside James Van Der Beek, which only lasted for a few episodes before being cancelled.

Zoe Lister-Jones then moved on to a recurring role in New Girl as councilwoman Fawn Moscato, who dates Schmidt during season 4; she later made a cameo in the series finale. In 2015 she joined sitcom Life In Pieces, which revolves around the antics of a large family. Lister-Jones played lawyer Jen, who is known for her sardonic humor and irritation with her husband Greg's (Colin Hanks) closeness to his mother.

Life In Pieces came to a close in 2019 after four seasons, but during her time on the show, Zoe Lister-Jones also played the lead in 2015 drama Consumed, which she co-wrote with her husband - and the movie's director - Daryl Wein. She also played a supporting role in the TV movie biopic Confirmation, where Kerry Washington played Anita Hill. In 2017 Lister-Jones directed comedy Band Aid, where a couple attempts to save a failing marriage by starting a band and using their fights as song inspirations. The movie is notable for being shot with an all-female crew, outside of the male actors, and was well-received. Zoe Lister-Jones' next directorial project will be Blumhouse's upcoming sequel The Craft: Legacy, a follow-up to the cult horror favorite from 1996.
