As the most practical and stubborn of the signs, Taurean's approach to movies is very similar to how they approach life. They value hard work and beauty, they stay grounded and are often conservative and don't like the flashy stuff. It's tough for a Taurus to enjoy a movie.

When it comes to comedies, Taureans are very fond of the light-hearted humor with solid comical moments that don't distract from the rest of the story.  They hate the raunchy and inappropriate jokes that might make someone cringe. Let's look at some comedies Taureans would love and some they would absolutely hate.

LOVE: Hot Rod (2007)

Before he was the hilarious cop Jake Peralta in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and before his success in SNL, Andy Samberg played a childish stuntman with a goal to be the best in the world and also beat up his stepdad...While the movie didn't have the best reviews, it still had some pretty funny and unique humor with a lot of lovable misfits and familiar faces.

What would make a Taurean fall in love with Hot Rod is that the movie doesn't rely on humor to make the plot interesting and it doesn't distract the viewers from the rest of the movie. It's full of random humor and a character that any Taurean could get behind.

HATE: Sausage Party (2016)

Food looking shocked in grocery store in Sausage Party.

A Taurus wouldn't last 10 minutes watching this raunchy comedy. Based entirely off dirty jokes, sexual innuendos, and almost no filter at all, Sausage Party fell short of its expectations and was considered one of the worst movies of the year.

It has a weak plot with no reliability or commitment to the plot by the characters or the writing, it had some uncalled for jokes that were simply made to just be funny, and the characters weren't memorable at all. Like most of the viewers that saw this movie, A Taurus would give it a thumbs down.

LOVE: Superbad (2007)

This instant classic is full of jokes and one-liners that many comedy fans still use today and still laugh just as hard. It was the birth of the iconic McLovin, it jumpstarted Michael Cera and Seth Rogen's careers, and it featured an all-star cast despite the low budget.

Superbad has everything a  Taurus loves in a comedy, relatable characters, hilarious jokes that aren't forced, and a plot that isn't random jokes and innuendos. Similar to Hot Rod, this movie features a group of lovable misfits trying to make their way in life without being ridiculed.

HATE: American Pie (1999)

Jason Biggs and Eugene Levy

American Pie is another classic comedy but it is a movie made for an acquired taste. If you love sex jokes and over the top raunchy jokes, this movie is for you. If you like movies with a good plot and a memorable le set of characters, this movie is probably not for you.

American Pie relied too much on the sex jokes to carry the movie and had one jokes pop up every five minutes of the movie which took away from the characters and the natural flow of the plot. Taureans might get lost understanding the character's motivations and could, therefore, lose interest quickly.

LOVE: Easy A (2010)

Easy A is about a high school girl who gets labeled as promiscuous by her classmates despite never doing anything with a guy in her life. She uses her newfound reputation to bribe and profit off the desperate boys who are willing to do anything to spend some time with her. Along the way, she learns that reputations don't mean anything and that it only matters what your close friends and family think of you.

Easy A had some funny moments but no rolling on the ground laughing moments. Nevertheless, the characters and the strong message make it a must-watch for a Taurus.

HATE: The 4o-Year-Old Virgin (2005)

Before he was the world's best boss in The Office he was a 40-year-old virgin and a man down on his romantic luck. While his friends all get together and plan to help him lose his virginity, his inexperience and awkward nature almost make it impossible.

Despite the great protagonists and all-star cast including  Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Kevin Hart, Jane Lynch, it featured a lot of R-rated humor and jokes that a Taurus could find uncomfortable. It may be a great movie, but one a Taurus might choose to skip due to their more conservative nature.

LOVE: Bruce Almighty (2003)

Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty

What would you do if God came down from heaven and offered you his powers? For Bruce, he did what most people would do, use the powers to advance his career and reputation, turn his luck around, and handle some bullies that beat him up.

Like any Jim Carrey comedy, the funny moments mostly came from Bruce and his reactions and he played the role of human with God's powers perfectly. And the message of never taking your blessings for granted, it's a movie that a Taurus will laugh, cry, and enjoy greatly.

HATE: Ted (2012)

What would you do if your favorite childhood teddy bear somehow came to life and became your friend? Aks Mark Wahlberg as he stars in Ted with a teddy bear who is not kid-friendly.  Ted goes from lovable and innocent to care-free and cringe, making constant inappropriate jokes at the worst times.

While it is an entertaining movie with a lot of classic one-liners, a Taurus might find it hard to get past the cursing bear smoking out of a bong and drinking a 12 pack.

LOVE: Liar Liar (1997)

Fletcher Reede in court in Liar Liar

Another Jim Carrey classic. Liar Liar is a movie about a lawyer who has a habit of lying to win a case and disappointing his son despite loving him dearly. He quickly learns how toxic his lying is and how tough it is to tell the truth when his son wishes his dad would stop lying after he fails to attend his party.

What ensues is the hilarious lawyer trying his hardest to tell the truth after making a career out of lying. Like most movies on this list in the love column, it has memorable characters, a good story, and a protagonist a Taurus can get behind.

HATE: Wedding Crashers (2005)

Wedding Crashers

Another classic that needs an acquired taste to really be enjoyed. Following two men who make a hobby out of crashing weddings, sleeping with women, and enjoying the parties. It all changes when one of the men (Owen Wilson) falls in love with a bridesmaid and chooses to live a lie to get closer to the woman he falls for.

Although the message is strong and the humor isn't forced, Wedding Crashers goes against everything a Taurus values in love and intimacy.
