Not every piece of armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is hidden behind some cave or ruins, so when players try to get the Mystic Armor set, it instead comes from a secret vendor named Koltin. The Mystic Armor has a special ability that gives the player a better chance to survive in fights, but it can be a little expensive. Since this gear has such a unique trait, players may easily overlook this interesting equipment.

The vendor Koltin appears to the northeast of Lookout Landing with their brother Kilton as part of a side quest players must complete to gain access to Koltin's shop. Koltin wants to be like the mystical Satori in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, while Kilton asks players to fetch a Bubbul Gem for Koltin from inside Pico Pond Cave nearby. This quest, called "The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!", has players defeat a Bubbulfrog for the desired item.

Where to Get the Mystic Armor Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Once players complete the side quest, Koltin travels around Hyrule with their shop, selling the Mystic Armor set in exchange for a number of Bubbul Gems. The three pieces that make up the set are named the Mystic Robe, Mystic Trousers, and Mystic Headpiece. While this set may not be one of the best armors in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for pure defense, it remains relatively strong and easy to get through Bubbul Gems.

Players can buy all three pieces of the Mystic Armor set in exchange for Bubbul Gems from the vendor Koltin at night in random locations around Hyrule.

Koltin's shop may be hard to find since players are only able to visit the floating air balloon vendor at night around Hyrule. In addition, the location of the shop changes every day, so players must talk to Kilton to get a clue about where his brother might show up next. The area in where Kilton resides after the Bubbul Gem side quest is called Tarrey Town.

At least 12 Bubbul Gems are needed to buy the whole Mystic Armor set, with each piece costing a different amount. Players are able to find more Bubbul Gems in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by defeating other Bubbulfrogs, who are usually found in caves. The easiest way to find Bubbulfrogs is to consult with Satori, the Lord of the Mountain, who reveals the locations of these enemies when players offer an apple at their tree.

When putting on any piece of Mystic Armor, players gain the Rupee Padding ability, which causes Link to lose Rupees instead of hearts when damaged. While this can certainly be an expensive solution to staying alive against enemies in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players that have more Rupees than they need might find a good use for this trait.

Those who get the Mystic Armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and enjoy its unique ability have a chance to upgrade the armor at Great Fairy Fountains by spending certain Materials.
