With the highly anticipated release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom finally here, players can explore the game's world, including unique areas such as the Jiosin Shrine. One of many different Shrines in the game, these locations present puzzles and other obstacles for players to overcome using their creativity with Link's abilities. In addition, completing the trials set at Jiosin Shrine gifts players a very special item as a reward.
Found in Hyrule Field, Jiosin Shrine's puzzles and challenges involve Shape Rotation, meaning players must manipulate certain objects just the right way to progress in this area. Link has an ability named Ultrahand that lets players rotate objects found on the ground, a technique similar to Runes from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Players can equip Ultrahand for this Shrine by pressing L and selecting it from the ability wheel.
Jiosin Shrine: First Shape Rotation Solution
The first thing Zelda: TOTK players will notice as they enter the Jiosin Shrine is a large gap preventing them from going further into the area and a large mesh wall on their left. The only break in this wall is a small entrance to another room and a large "X" in the middle. Going into the side room leads to a large object made up of three squares fused together at different angles.
The angles made by this object make an awkward "X" when players look at it from the side, letting players know they need to use Ultrahand to move this object through the hole in the grated wall. Additionally, not every square is the same size, so players should use the Reset, Vertical Rotation, and Horizontal Rotation controls to maneuver this object precisely.
Jiosin Shrine: Second Shape Rotation Solution
Placing the "X" object flat lets players cross the gap in the middle after moving the structure through the wall. On the other side, another side room has a double cube fused object that has to be moved through its wall in the same way. Carefully rotating this structure past the wall lets players place it down right below a chest high up in the room.
Using one of Link's new abilities in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Ascend, gives players a way to reach this chest by phasing through the higher cube on the object they place down. From here, players can simply walk to the chest, which contains a Hasty Elixir that gives a midlevel movement speed buff when Link climbs, swims, or runs.
The trickiest part about using the two cube objects involves getting them through the oddly shaped hole in the left wall. Once players transfer the object through the almost Tetris-shaped hole in the wall they found it in, they must rotate it so that the top surfaces of each cube that are facing them. Doing this matches the other hole's shape, letting Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom players move the object into the left area.
Rewards for Solving Jiosin Shrine
Moving the object toward the two platforms in the left room and using Ascend again to reach the higher platform leads players to the ending altar of the Shrine. Examining the green symbols that eerily resemble the Ultrahand icon rewards Zelda: TOTK players with a Light of Blessing.
When players trade in four Light of Blessings, they can increase their overall health or stamina, making Jiosin Shrine a great location in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
