Being Princess Zelda's knight in shining armor time and time again, it's safe to say that Link is indeed the Hero of Hyrule - but only with the coolest new weapons in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will he look the part. Those who have played the prequel Breath of the Wild will already be familiar with most of the weapons in TOTK, as many have made a reappearance in the sequel. But for what they lack in quantity, the new weapons in Tears of the Kingdom make up it for in quality, as they are some of the best-looking weapons in all the land.

Despite sharing many of the weapons from Breath of the Wild, Link's arsenal has expanded significantly thanks to one of his new powers in Tears of the Kingdom, Fuse. This ability lets him combine any two items from his inventory to create a unique weapon mash-up, complete with special statistics, durability levels, and even potential magic effects. The possibilities are truly endless, and only through experimentation can players find their favorite creations. But the best new weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which look amazing even on their own, can be a great starting point.

10 Mighty Construct Bow

As its name would imply, the Mighty Construct Bow is used by the ancient Zonai Constructs that Link can meet (and fight) throughout the world. Its appearance (as showcased by Lootward on YouTube) is certainly on par with these mechanical beings, as it dons the same teal color and gold, geometrical embellishments that many of the Constructs do. The eccentric and manufactured look of the Mighty Construct Bow may not be every player's cup of tea, but its departure from the otherwise natural aesthetic of TOTK is something to take notice of.

9 Magic Staff

Though it's far more minimalistic in design, the Magic Staff is one of the coolest new weapons in Tears of the Kingdom, especially for those with an affinity for the arcane. This long, white staff is topped with a pastel pink flower that's simply begging to be Fused with the magical powers of a gemstone. Even without the addition of a crystal, the Magic Staff is truly a one-of-a-kind weapon, with its playful, delicate appearance veering from the otherwise utilitarian designs of most of the game's weapons. But with the ruined gem sale prices in Tears of the Kingdom, it becomes doubly useful (and impressive).

8 Gloom Sword

The Gloom Sword is another simple weapon that should please those with a slightly moodier taste in armaments. Its blade is not completely straight-edged, but the rest of the sword's design is, as it's merely made of a dark metal blade and a black-and-gold hilt.

The Gloom Sword's item description states that it "has an ominous presence," which can't really be argued, as Link starts looking less like the beloved Hero of Hyrule and more like an enemy of the people with this edgy weapon in hand.

7 Gloom Spear

The Gloom Spear is still somewhat dark (unsurprisingly), but it spices up its design considerably. This two-handed weapon features a sharp silver tip, which assumes an intricate, ornate shape, alongside a teal-and-red patterned handle and a fun red tassel to match. The doom-and-gloom of this weapon comes from what is surely the immense pain the strange blade causes to its opposition, but on Link's end of things, the Gloom Spear is one of the coolest new weapons in Tears of the Kingdom.

6 Gloom Club

It's a return to basics, but the Gloom Club is one of TOTK's best-looking weapons nonetheless. This giant, two-handed armament is ideal for bludgeoning and bashing in the head of any foe, as it's made of a dark metal material and adorned with gold-tipped spikes that look just as painful as they do cool. The red tassel at the end and the gold decor on the handle lighten the mood somewhat, but at the end of the day, not many would willingly challenge a Link with a Doom Club in hand.

5 Mighty Zonaite Shield

The Zonai are a large part of the game's story - from the introductory sequence, all the way to Tears of the Kingdom's ending - and they're no doubt one of the most interesting tribes that the Zelda series has covered yet. For this reason, even though it's not technically an offensive tool, the Mighty Zonaite shield is one of the coolest items in TOTK. This otherwise small and simple defense is powered by the eponymous ancient resource Zonaite, which emits a large, glowing blue shield of light. Its detailed pattern and use of ancient technology likely make it the best-looking shield in the game.

4 Demon King's Bow

For those with a love of archery, it doesn't get much better than the Demon King's Bow. It's quite simple - being made of a natural wood and bearing teal, red, and gold embellishments - but it's the size that is conversely incredibly unique. It's by far the largest bow in TOTK, with its sleek silhouette extending far past Link's. Shooting arrows with the Demon King's Bow feels grandiose and almost theatrical by design, but that's what makes it one of the coolest new weapons in Tears of the Kingdom.

3 White Sword Of The Sky

As far as craftsmanship goes, the White Sword of the Sky (which is rather reminiscent of the Goddess Sword from other Zelda games) is truly an excellent piece of work. The aptly-named sword features a slightly serrated and blindingly white blade with a simple geometrical design and a decorative teal handle. Bearing the colors of a bright, sunny day, the White Sword of the Sky simply feels right at home in Tears of the Kingdom, and especially so in the hands of Link.

2 Mighty Zonaite Spear

The Mighty Zonaite Spear is yet another fascinating weapon created by the Zonai, and it's no doubt one of the best-looking weapons in the entire game. Compared to its default and Strong counterparts, the Mighty version of this polearm bears a long, glowing tip that almost teeters on the edge of a halberd. With a pure golden handle and dangling green jewels, the Mighty Zonaite Spear is just as beautiful as it is deadly.

1 Mighty Zonaite Longsword

The coolest new weapon in Tears of the Kingdom is the Mighty Zonaite Longsword. This two-handed weapon has the same design elements as the Zonaite Spear, like the hanging crystals and golden handle, but it inches forward ever so slightly thanks to the sheer fact that it's able to display more of the Zonaite-powered technology. The large, luminescent blue blade cannot be described as anything other than a work of art, slicing through its enemies with mere fractals of light. As such, the Mighty Zonaite Longsword reigns supreme as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's coolest new weapon.
