Nintendo has debuted a beautifully made statue of Link from the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK) at the company's live event in Tokyo. The Breath of the Wild sequel has kept most information from the public, leaving room for a lot of fan theories. With seven more months until launch, many fans are eager for more information about the title. With so little information on Tears of the Kingdom, many have taken to the internet to share their thoughts and theories. The meaning of its ominous title has worried fans since Tears of the Kingdom's pronunciation was clarified by Nintendo in September. The reveal trailer did confirm at least one game mechanic for the new title, in the form of a new flying mount that saves Link from a far fall.Related: Breath Of The Wild 2: 8 Zelda Characters Fans Hope Return In Tears of the KingdomThis weekend started Tokyo's Nintendo Live event, which will run today and tomorrow. My Nintendo News shared photos from the event via Game Watch of an impressive statue of Link, showing off his new look in Tears of the Kingdom. It's also been shown off by Twitter users like Wario64. The statue is being used for photo shoots at the event, which will likely have long lines through the weekend. It showcases Link's mysterious new arm, which will be utilized for some of Tears of the Kingdom's new abilities, lit up from the inside in a jade green color and donning claw-like nails. The origins of this strange new appendage of Link's are still unclear, but it will likely play a pivotal role in the story.

Fans have not shied away form sharing their theories, opinions, and interpretations on Tears of the Kingdom. The new glider seen in the trailer gives hints at new abilities and gameplay in the floating islands Link travels to in the sequels. Weapon changes and durability have been major wishlist items from fans, as has Ganon and Zelda being playable in the game. Others have brought up what they don't want to see in the sequel, like Breath of the Wild's most annoying enemies, including Treasure Octoroks, Wizzrobes, and Pebblits.

There's one major theory hinting that Tears of the Kingdom may be ending the Zelda timeline, looping back to the very beginning. There are three branching timelines already featured in the franchise, and some believe Tears of the Kingdom could tie them all together and allow the series to start fresh. Breath of the Wild's time placement isn't clear, and although Nintendo has mentioned its placed at the end of the timeline, it hasn't specified which of the three timelines it's in. The frequent loops and circles appearing in the trailer may lend credence to this theory. The main logo for the title is two dragons eating each others' tails, a symbol of death and rebirth. Players following this idea may not be too excited to see Zelda's beloved timelines come to an end, and might instead take their time in the Tears of the Kingdom dungeons also hinted at in the trailer.
