One skilled Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword player managed to block an enemy’s arrow with their own in midair. Impressive tricks like this are nothing new in the world of The Legend Of Zelda, with players posting videos of themselves using bombs to catch fish, confusing Guardians with Link’s Magnesis rune, and coming up with new ways to climb to the top of the ancient Sheikah Towers while playing Breath Of The Wild.

These tricks also include Link’s ever-trusty assortment of arrows, which have taken on many different forms and have been used for many different purposes throughout the Legend Of Zelda series. Eagle-sighted Breath Of The Wild players have bested enemies in impromptu archery standoffs, saved Link’s horse from death with a well-aimed Ice Arrow, and have even managed to swap out Breath Of The Wild’s legendary Master Sword with a classic Bomb Arrow. As it turns out, Link’s talent for using his bow and arrow in creative ways stretches as far back as 2011’s Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Wii, and one player’s latest exploit is a fine example of the hero of Hyrule’s sharpshooting skills.

Reddit user Pitchforkin posted a brief clip of themselves shooting a gang of enemies with Link’s bow and arrow while playing The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Link takes aim and shoots each foe down from the pirate ship’s mast above him one by one, until one of the baddies takes aim with their own bow. Link quickly fires his own shot, causing the two arrows to collide with each other and spin to the ground. Pitchforkin was actually surprised that this was even possible, though others in the comment section have pointed out that Link can block enemy arrows with his own in Twilight Princess and Breath Of The Wild as well.

As fans continue to pull off impressive new gameplay tricks in Legend Of Zelda titles like Skyward Sword and Breath Of The Wild, Nintendo is looking to the future of the franchise with the tentatively titled Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2, which is said to be launching sometime later this year. Additionally, classic Zelda installments like Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask were added to Nintendo Switch Online in October’s Expansion Pack, meaning that Zelda fans currently have no shortage of ways to enjoy Nintendo’s long-running dungeon RPG series.

Link has always been a master of archery in the Legend Of Zelda series, with one Zelda spin-off title being entirely centered around his skill with a crossbow. Pitchforkin's recent clip of Link deflecting an enemy arrow with his own well-placed shot all but cements the hero's status as one of the best shots in Hyrule, and is another example of the Legend Of Zelda franchise’s impressive attention to detail.
