Years after the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players continue to find new ways to break the game’s physics, this time by activating a glitch so destructive it's called the Hinox Curse. The critically acclaimed Zelda title has awed players with its scale and delighted players with the ways the game's world can be explored - and broken.

There are already an assortment of mods players have created for the game to bend or break its rules. Some of these include bringing in Luigi’s Circuit as a Master Cycle race track, and the ability to play as last year’s internet sensation, Bowsette. One player even turned on 30 mods at once, turning the game into a mess of a masterpiece. Outside of mods, many in-game glitches and speedrunning tactics have also been discovered that players like to have fun with, such as Link flying across the land on a rock under the effects of stasis.

Gaming Reinvinted has uploaded a video showcasing this new Hinox glitch, showing that it’s very simple to pull off. A Hinox or Stalnox needs to be carried over to a waterfall using magnesis. This can be done by pushing or carrying them using a magnified treasure chest. Once they’re pushed to the waterfall, the Hinox despawns, and from there, chaos ensues. Link can move both sideways and upside down, horses can clip through trees, guardian statues and cryonis blocks will float, and the game will face very heavy lag.

This glitch was originally discovered by DrillCaramary, and the original video showcasing the glitch features even more weird effects. Should Link try using Revali’s Gale, it flat-out won’t work with the position Link is in. Weapons are also shown to be floating in midair, and are unable to be interacted with. However, the glitch can be fixed by using the travel medallion. That being said, it's definitely not recommended for normal players, but it's fascinating for glitch hunters. Activating the glitch completely breaks the game, but leads to all kinds of hilarious chaos in Hyrule.

This is just another showcase of just what player creativity can lead to in Breath of the Wild. When players are capable of doing things such as beating the game without walking once, it’s no wonder that glitches like these can be discovered if players look hard enough. It’s thanks to the game’s flexibility that feats like these are even possible, and is just one reason why it’s so beloved by fans and critics alike. This new glitch in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could break the game and half, but at least players will be able to have fun watching the game struggle to keep up with the unleashed chaos.
