Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player recently showed off their chops in combat by taking down two Lynels in the blink of an eye. The ability to effectively slay these creatures is impressive, as the centaur-inspired monsters are considered to be some of the most menacing in the game. One Breath of the Wild player even got slammed underground when they tried to face a Lynel head-on.

Breath of the Wild's massive open world is filled with beautiful sights to see and charming towns to interact with. Just like with any beautiful landscape though, danger can often be found at every turn. Whether players are roaming the verdant Hyrulian fields or making their way through gulches and mountains, Moblins, Octorocks, and of course, Lynels, lie in wait. Players can even the odds by upgrading Link's equipment, finding new weapons to wield, or buffing their stats with one of the game's many dishes or potions. Mastering the game's simple yet satisfying combat can also be a great boon for players (until they try out the much harder Master Mode, that is).

Redditor _OVERSKY took advantage of all the tools at their disposal to pummel two Lynels in a recently published clip. Before fighting the creatures, _OVERSKY first decided to give Link the upper hand by consuming a Speed Up buff, which allows players to move at superhuman speeds. _OVERSKY went on to leverage the power of the legendary Master Sword for some devastating sword slices. Lightning-quick reflexes seem to have helped too, as _OVERSKY parried and dodged attacks at the last minute, further slowing down time and allowing for the execution of the Flurry Rush attack. _OVERSKY also loosed a few arrows from their bow for good measure. All in all, it would appear that this skilled player was able to exit the battle unscathed.

As impressive as this is, it only showcases a handful of the game's mechanics, as certain Breath of the Wild combat playstyles take advantage of things like Link's physics-based magic spells to deal out copious amounts of damage as well. _OVERSKY didn't seem to have to use abilities like Stasis or Magnesis to handle these foes, however, as their more stripped-down approach to this fight looks to have been brutal enough. The fast-paced nature of this battle is arguably more stylish as well, with commenters on the post drawing comparisons to famed hack-and-slashed titles like Devil May Cry.

Breath of the Wild has received no shortage of praise since its release, and in the years following, many fans have enjoyed discovering bizarre secrets and exploits to take advantage of throughout the game. One example of this is an exploit some players have discovered that lets them get the Master Sword early on in the game, which makes fights like this one significantly easier. Despite that exploit, however, most Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild players would admit that facing a Lynel, let alone two, is a respectable challenge, even with the Master Sword, so _OVERSKY's 30-second victory remains an impressive feat.
