Breath of the Wild players have used glitches since the game's launch, and more are frequently being discovered. Using the Bullet Time Bounce glitch can send Link flying across the map, which can get players from one area to another much quicker than horseback riding or running. To perform the glitch, there needs to be an enemy nearby and a cliff or structure where players can get just above the creature. Using a combination of moves, Link can land on top of the enemy and shoot into the air across the map.

The Bullet Time Bounce is fairly simple to perform compared to other glitches in BOTW, but the circumstances have to be right to do it. Players must be positioned just above an enemy on a cliff, ruins, a platform, or any other elevated surface. After getting into position, there will be a series of buttons to input in order to pull off the bounce.

Bullet Time Bounce Glitch:

  • Use block (ZL) while just above an enemy.
  • Click X then A to start a shield surf.
  • Go into Bullet Time (ZR) by aiming with the bow.
  • Land on the enemy to bounce off of it and send Link flying through the air.
  • To keep from running out of stamina, press Y or B to cancel Bullet Time after bouncing.

In order to land safely, players will need to have the Paraglider before attempting this. The Paraglider is awarded to players for completing the Great Plateau tutorial area in Breath of the Wild. Without that item, Link will perish from fall damage when he finally lands. Performing this glitch can be extremely useful for players trying to reach new, distant areas, or for those attempting to speedrun. The glitch can also be used to get into Hyrule Castle while bypassing all the guardians waiting to fight out front. The Bullet Time Bounce is an easy glitch to perform, and it gives players a whole new way to experience The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
