One The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild fan has shared their incredible Urbosa cosplay with the world. Urbosa is by far one of the most celebrated characters from Breath of the Wild, with her cool and collected nature making her an imposing leader of the Gerudo. Urbosa also acts somewhat of a mother figure to Zelda, with uncovered memories showing just how much the Gerudo Chief cared for the young princess. Her demise at the hands of Thunderblight Ganon was certainly a cruel and devastating loss for the Kingdom of Hyrule.
Even though The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now over four years old, there is still a lot of love for Nintendo’s open-world epic out there. Fans have produced numerous dedications to this latest addition in the Zelda series, with everything from 3D maps to incredibly detailed sculptures often being shared online. But, while these fan-made homages are certainly breathtaking in their design, they often lean heavily towards the fantastical, and away from the real. However, one Breath of the Wild fan has created a cosplay of Lady Urbosa that is so detailed and realistic, one would be forgiven for thinking that it was the Gerudo Champion herself being photographed.
Cosplayer and artist cutiepiesensei is an exceptionally talented individual, who also happens to be a fan of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. As such, she created a jaw-dropping cosplay of Breath of the Wild’s flame-haired champion Urbosa and shared it with her thousands of Instagram followers. The attention to detail is astounding, with cutiepiesensei even using makeup to account for Urbosa’s powerful abs. However, this cosplay is perhaps made even more impressive by the fact that this is not only a work of art, but it is also functional, as it is actually a bikini. Cutiepiesensei revealed on one of her Instagram posts that she “even used the swimsuit cover skirt for the rest of (her) trip.”
Despite these photos now being a few months old, they recently resurfaced on the Breath of the Wild Reddit feed and opened up cutiepiesensei’s spectacular gift to an even wider audience. Many were left in awe by just how much like Urbosa cutiepiesensei looks, and rightly so.
This Urbosa cosplay will certainly be appreciated by fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It may even inspire some to have a go at designing their own cosplay. After all, crafting and creating may be just what is needed to make passing the time while waiting for more news on Breath of the Wild’s highly anticipated sequel that little bit less arduous.
