A highly determined The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player managed to complete the Two Rings challenge using some unnecessary and unorthodox acrobatics. The 2017 fantasy adventure game reinvigorated Nintendo's beloved series by introducing open-world elements, giving players the freedom to explore however they please. Zelda: Breath of the Wild features side quests in addition to major dungeons, giving players a truly impressive amount of content to tackle.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild's content ranges from massive dungeons to short challenges, with players able to conquer much of this content in a variety of different ways. The game's four Divine Beasts serve as parallels to the franchise's well-known dungeons, being large areas that players are required to complete through puzzle-solving and combat. However, even these dungeons receive an open-world overhaul, as players must hunt down the Divine Beasts and defeat them in combat before they can be entered. Shrines also dot the game's map and are unlocked through challenges, providing shorter and more focused adventure than those found within a full dungeon. Side quests throughout Hyrule add even more content to overcome, and Breath of the Wild's endgame content includes other activities such as upgrading armor, unlocking Medals of Honor, discovering lost memories, and more.

Reddit user cluelessbasket recently demonstrated Zelda: Breath of the Wild's open-ended nature by completing a quest in an unintended way. One of the game's Shrine Quests, called The Two Rings, tasks players with shooting an arrow through two stone structures to unlock the Sheem Dagoze Shrine in the Ridgeland. Many rings dot the area, with players meant to find the two rings that perfectly line up in order to easily fire an arrow through both. However, cluelessbasket thought the task required them to shoot the arrow through two much less well-aligned stones, forcing them to slow time and precisely fire the arrow in mid-air. While the misunderstanding is humorous on its own cluelessbasket managed to actually pull off the epic shot, which makes the feat more awesome than funny.

While many gamers consider Breath of the Wild to be the very pinnacle of the Zelda series, others are less impressed by the open-world fantasy title. Controversial opinions about Breath of the Wild express that the title's open-ended nature actually damages parts of the experience, leading to frustrating scenarios like cluelessbasket's stone ring mishap. One popular point of criticism seems to lie with the game's Divine Beasts, which are considerably shorter and more simplistic than the complex dungeon layouts featured in the franchise's past entries. Breath of the Wild's item durability system was also a point of contention for some long-time fans who preferred the more static inventory in older games.

With Breath of the Wild approaching 5-years old, fans are desperate for news of the game's upcoming sequel. Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has been announced, but so far little actual information is available about the game. Therefore, many players continue to experience the 2017 title by either replaying it or venturing through it for the first time. Misunderstandings like cluelessbasket's Two Rings issue are caused by the game's open-ended nature, but that nature also allowed the determined adventurer to find victory through an impressive bit of in-game acrobatics.
