A player of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has shared a hilarious in-game phenomenon that sees a Lynel teleport away after posing for a photo with Link. Breath of the Wild's large open world and many game secrets, glitches, and exploits have cemented it as one of the series' most engrossing and immersive titles, keeping players coming back for more despite releasing back in 2017.

Since launch, Zelda fans have discovered many in-game secrets, Easter eggs, and ways to enhance the Breath of the Wild experience. Users have been able to turn BOTW into a first-person game, have unearthed cut content such as poison water, and have concocted a myriad of ways to creatively bring down their enemies using the wide range of weapons and tools available. Like most games, BOTW isn't free from bugs, but rather than being game-breaking, users have found unique ways to explore and utilize the game's issues, even uncovering unique glitches that showcase how the game has been crafted, including a BOTW glitch that reveals underwater waterfalls.

Redditor Heimgang recently shared their experience with a Lynel, revealing to many players how the enemies travel around. As seen in the user's video, their Link uses the camera to take a photo of themselves and a Blue-Maned Lynel, before the foreboding foe turns around and teleports within a glowing red-orange aura. The Lynel then respawns besides the player, with the same animation effect present. The Redditor notes that this is the first time they've seen such movement from a Lynel, with many commenters sharing the same sentiment.

While the game is home to many enemies, threats, and dangers, BOTW's Lynels are some of the most ferocious enemy types in the game. Lynel require skill, hearts, and patience to defeat, with them easily able to overthrow unprepared players. While users won't typically see a teleporting Lynel, according to Reddit commenters on the post, it's possible to encounter the phenomenon if something happens with the game's coding, or when a Lynel strays too far from its spawn point. Interestingly, Lynels can also teleport their arrows, making their attacks even sneakier and more deadly.

With so many commenters on the post sharing their shock at the teleporting Lynel, it's clear that Breath of the Wild still has secrets to share. Even putting hundreds of hours into the game doesn't guarantee a user will see everything it has to offer, especially with secret BOTW dialogue that can only be discovered if skipping certain game elements. It's hoped that the game's sequel, currently known as Breath of the Wild 2, will feature a world just as diverse and dynamic as its predecessor's.
