Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres all make an appearance in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl for players to find and capture. A big part of the new Pokémon game experience is exploring the region and trying to discover all the new legendary Pokémon it has to offer. Since this is a remake, players have been eager to go back and catch some of their favorites. While many of Pokémon BDSP relies on the Sinnoh Dex for its Pokémon content, players are able to unlock access to Pokémon from other regions in the post-game. This includes the legendary bird trio.

Players will first need to get the National Dex before they can find Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. This is because it unlocks new areas within the game's Ramanas Park. This area was in the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl under the name 'Pal Park,' and functions as an area for players to find and capture tons of old legendary Pokémon. It is located on Route 221, and after the player completes the Sinnoh Dex, new caves will begin to appear. Players will need to work their way up to Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres.

In order to find them, players will first need to find and capture Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in Ramanas Park. There's a shop inside Ramanas Park where players can purchase slates. Players can place these slates on a pedestal to be transported to a room featuring a legendary Pokémon. Since this shop doesn't take normal currency, players will need to find Mysterious Shards first. These are only available in Pokémon's Grand Underground by digging around and having the chance to encounter them within a wall. After grabbing three of them, players will have enough to purchase the Discovery Slate.

The Discovery Slate is used to teleport the player into the Discovery Room, the location where players can find Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. They will all be level 70 and players will need to catch them all. After doing that, players will gain access to the Kanto Slate. Place the Kanto Slate to enter the Kanto Room, this is where they will find the three legendary birds.

It's important to mention that the Kanto Slate is an item that is exclusive to Pokémon Shining Pearl. Players who purchased Pokémon Brilliant Diamond were given the Johto Room with Entei, Suicune, and Raikou as an alternative. Players looking to capture them all will need to either trade with a friend or wait for Pokémon Home to release Pokémon BDSP support.
