Zack Snyder has revealed new Justice League storyboard art that highlights one of the scenes from the film's first Comic-Con sneak peak. The highly-anticipated follow-up to the filmmaker's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice sees the world's finest heroes - Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) - unite for the first time in order to safeguard the planet from an impending invasion by Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and his army of Parademons.

The film recently completed additional photography in London, with The Avengers director Joss Whedon at the helm working to complete Snyder's vision for the blockbuster epic. However, just because the movie is currently in the charge of another director, and although Snyder has chosen not to return to Justice League at this time, that hasn't precluded the filmmaker from occasionally dropping in and teasing various aspects of the movie. So far, he's revealed behind-the-scenes images of Aquaman and Wonder Woman, and now he's got something new to share.

Snyder debuted new storyboard art on the social media app Vero, showcasing the humans burying their Mother Box - one of the three Mother Boxes separated among the planet's three major empires: the humans, the Atlanteans, and the Amazons - which was first teased in the movie's Comic-Con 2016 sneak peak. However, that's not the only scene that the storyboard art teases. Take a look:

While it's easy to make out that the storyboard shows the Mother Box burial scene, the following scene is what's interesting. Snyder indicated in his writing underneath the panel on the right that Bruce Wayne will say something like, "You learn something new every day." It's possible that Diana is recounting the events of the Earth's first war with the New Gods thousands of years before - the subject matter of the film's prologue sequence - and that's presumably when Wayne learns of the Mother Boxes and their significance in the impending invasion.

Although the upcoming DCEU installment hits theaters in less than two months, there's still quite a lot that audiences don't know about the movie. But, what we do know is that Justice League will follow the newly formed superhero team as they defend Earth against Steppenwolf's invasion, who has come to Earth presumably to recover the three Mother Boxes. We'll just have to wait and see how the rest of the film plays out.
