Actor Zachary Levi recently reunited with two former Chuck co-stars, Joshua Gomez and Ryan McPartlin. Chuck aired on NBC from 2007 to 2012.

Created by Josh Schwartz (Runaways) and Chris Fedak, Chuck follows the adventures of its titular character, portrayed by Levi. After becoming privy to CIA intelligence, he’s immersed into a global operation and participates in classified missions. The action comedy spy series currently holds an 89 percent Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, along with a 90 percent audience score. Chuck earned numerous accolades during its five-season, 91-episode run, including three consecutive ALMA Award nominations for Gomez, who portrayed Chuck’s best friend Morgan Grimes. Meanwhile, McPartlin portrayed Devon Woodcomb M.D., otherwise referred to as Captain Awesome by Chuck.

On Twitter, Gomez posted a video clip of the Chuck reunion, along with the caption “#Reunited #FeelsSoGood #Chuck Miss and love these two enormous slabs of beef.” The video begins with Levi entering an unnamed location, dressed in a black tank top and white shorts. When Gomez first appears, he doesn’t seem overly excited or surprised, but rather cautious about the camera. Levi makes his way over to his former Chuck co-star, and suggests that Gomez didn’t actually believe he’d show up. A wall mirror reveals McPartlin as the videographer, who then declaratively states “We’re here” while Levi further tries to convince Gomez that the moment is indeed happening. After a little more banter, Gomez appears more comfortable, and then enthusiastically embraces Levi as the 41-second video comes to a close. By the end, McPartlin lets loose an extended “Yayyy” while Levi can be heard saying “I love you.” Check out the moving Chuck reunion below.

While all three Chuck pals have maintained working careers, Levi has reached a new level of fame upon starring in the DCEU hit Shazam! In addition, the 38-year-old American actor has also appeared as Fandral in the MCU’s Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok. Levi also portrays Dr. Benjamin Ettenberg in the breakout Amazon series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, starring Rachel Brosnahan. As for McPartlin, he currently stars as Jessica Alba’s husband in Spectrum’s L.A.’s Finest, a police procedural based on the Bad Boys film franchise. In recent years, Gomez has appeared in the CBS series Scorpion and Fox’s Lucifer (now airing on Netflix).

For Chuck fans, the Levi-Gomez-McPartlin reunion will be fun to watch. And even for people that haven’t seen the NBC series, it’s still a moment worth checking out, especially given the various emotions that Gomez exudes. Moving forward, perhaps the trio can reunite for a new professional project, whether it’s a feature film or a television series. Or maybe the long-awaited Chuck feature film will finally be produced.
