His last two performances of "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" from The Lion King and "Life is a Highway" from Cars were thrilling, but he unfortunately didn't make the Top 3, along with Wé Ani. Iam Tongi, Colin Stough, and Megan Danielle will now compete for the American Idol crown on the May 21 finale.

In an Instagram post, Zachariah spoke to his fans, announcing some exciting future endeavors.He told them not to "skip out on the finale" because he was eliminated because he will appear on it.

Zachariah said, "I will be at the finale, and I have a special duet partner. And this one's gonna be really fun. Teaser: the '80s is coming back." Although Zachariah didn't specify which of the announced finale performers he will be singing with, one who fits the profile is REO Speedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin. The band's '80s power ballads would suit Zachariah's style perfectly.

Zachariah announced that he has a new single, "American Grace," coming out "very, very soon." He said, "there's lots more to come." He also invited his fans from his hometown of Wabash, Indiana to come to his concert, which he promised would be "really, really fun." Zachariah told his fans that he loves them and thanked them for their support. He concluded by saying, "We're not done. This is just the new beginning to my new chapter and this new life, I guess? I don't know. It's really weird. There's a lot of things."

Zachariah brought his incredible vocals and throwback style to songs such as "Lucille" by Little Richard, "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner, "Don't Bring Me Down" by Electric Light Orchestra, "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi, and "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette. He had spectacular energy onstage that was infectious. Zachariah is also a great role model, as he is a loving and dedicated son, husband, and father. He embodies everything that an American Idol should be.

Zachariah's American Idol finale performance is sure to be just as exciting as all the rest. No matter who he sings with, his stunning vocals will shine. He has a powerful voice with an incredible range. Although he didn't win American Idol, Zachariah has a bright future ahead of him. His finale appearance, new single, and hometown concert are just the beginning for him. Zachariah was breath of fresh air on American Idol, and he will always be remembered for his stellar work on the show because he is a true star.
