In the world of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, there are few whose name carries the weight of Yugi Muto. He is easily the most decorated duelist of all time, and viewers have watched him battle the forces of evil time and time again.

During those battles, viewers have also watched Yugi swap out his cards to form brand new decks. As such, it makes sense that some of these decks have quite a few cards that viewers have forgotten about. As a note, all the below effects will be based on the anime versions of the cards.

Ragnarok

Yugi vs Marik in Yu-Gi-Oh!

While it isn't actually a real-life card, Yugi used the card to Ragnarok to finish off Marik for good. As the card was only ever used this one time, though, fans might not actually remember it. In addition, the card's effect is very... busy, so fans might have also forgotten about it because of that.

The card can only be activated when there are two Dark Magician monsters on the field. Once the player removes every monster from their hand, deck, and graveyard from play, they destroy every monster on the opponent's side of the field. That is quite a cost.

Dark Magic Curtain

Yu-Gi-Oh! Yugi vs Arkana.

While fans likely remember the iconic moment of Yugi using Dark Magic Curtain to summon Dark Magician Girl, what they might not remember is that Yugi used this card in one of his own decks.

Yugi had this card in his deck during the Waking the Dragons arc of the show and used it in his duel against Rafael. Even though he had the card in his deck, the most iconic scene of him using it is in the case of a different duelist's card.

Rainbow Blessing

Rainbow Blessing is the card that Yugi used in his first battle of the Virtual World arc to defeat Gansley of the Big Five with the help of his Deck Master, Kuriboh.

Rainbow bridge can only be equipped to Kuriboh, but if that Kuriboh is tributed, other monsters are allowed to attack the opponent directly for the rest of the turn, which is how Yugi was finally able to win his duel and maintain control of his body.

Magician's Valkyria

Magician's Valkyria is a card that one might expect Yugi to use, as it fits his motif perfectly. However, Yugi only uses this card during the Pyramid of Light movie, which means that some fans might not remember it being used at all.

Yugi actually has two copies of this card in his deck, and they do quite a bit of damage before they are taken off the field. In the end, it helps to power up his Sorcerer of Dark Magic from the graveyard.

Marshmallon

Marshmallon is a card that is used by regular Yugi in his deck, which is a different deck than Yami Yugi usually uses. When this card is attacked while facedown, the attacker loses 1000 attack points.

In addition, it cannot be destroyed by battle, which means it comes in handy as a shield for its controller.

Harpie's Pet Dragon

This is a very strange case, but Yugi is seen selecting this card for his deck in the Virtual World, though he never actually uses it. In addition, this was only in the dub. In the original anime, the card that Yugi selected was Seiyaryu.

As such, this card technically was in Yugi's deck, even if it only was for one known duel. It was more commonly used by Mai Valentine.

Royal Straight Slasher

Leon and Yugi facing off

Royal Straight Slasher is a card that can be summoned by tributing one Jack's Knight, Queen's Knight, and King's Night. If one card for each of the five levels is discarded, every card the opponent controls is destroyed.

Yugi attempted to use this card in order to destroy the Golden Castle of Stromberg. However, as it cannot be destroyed by any cards other than its own effects, it managed to stay on the field.

Skilled Dark Magician

Skilled Dark Magician is a card that can be used to summon Dark Magician if three spell cards are used while it is on the field. Yugi uses this card in an incredible combo during his duel with Vivian Wong in the KC Grand Championship arc. He uses cards that bring his Dark Magician back to his hand along with his Buster Blader.

Then, he fuses the cards to bring out Dark Paladin, who absolutely wipes the floor with his opponent.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon

While it is known to be a card used by Seto Kaiba, Yugi actually did use Blue-Eyes White Dragon... sort of. It is a card that he uses during the Virtual World arc after combining his deck with Kaiba's.

As such, it was technically a card of Kaiba's that Yugi controls. Either way, it helps him win his duel against Noah.

Horn Of The Unicorn

Yugi vs Bakura in Yu-Gi-Oh!

Horn of the Unicorn is an equip spell card that gives the attached monster 700 attack points. However, fans might not remember the card as it was taken out of Yugi's deck right after the Duelist Kingdom arc.

While it might have been a card that Yugi used often in the first season, it was then forgotten about quickly.
