Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel features over 10,000 cards from the classic TCG, and players can increase their chances of pulling rare cards for their deck by unlocking Secret Packs. Secret Packs feature cards from a specific deck archetype, which significantly narrows down the types of cards players can pull from and makes it much easier to find the cards they need. Each Secret Pack contains 8 cards and costs 100 Gems in the shop, but players have to unlock each Secret Pack before they can start pulling from them.
Players can unlock Secret Packs in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel by pulling a Super Rare or Ultra Rare Yu-Gi-Oh! card from any card pack found in the shop, which will allow them to access the Secret Pack of that card’s deck archetype. In order to increase their chances of pulling a rare card, players can purchase card packs in bundles of 10 since buying a bundle guarantees they’ll find at least one Super Rare card during their pull. Four cards in each Secret Pack are guaranteed to be from that archetype, and the other four will be random cards found in any Master Pack to supplement the player’s deck, making it much easier for players to work towards a specific build than pulling cards at random from Master Packs.
Once a Secret Pack has been unlocked, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel players can buy as many as they want from the Secret Pack tab in the shop. However, Secret Packs are only available for 24 hours after they’ve been found, so players will have to act fast if they want to take advantage of the Secret Pack before it disappears and has to be found again. Luckily, Secret Packs can easily be unlocked again by crafting specific cards from their deck archetype.
How To Unlock Secret Packs By Crafting In Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
If Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel players are unable to find the cards they want within the 24-hour window or need more time to get some more Gems, Secret Packs can be easily unlocked again by taking advantage of the game’s crafting system, which is similar to games like Hearthstone. Whenever a Super Rare or Ultra Rare card from a Secret Pack is crafted, that Secret Pack will be unlocked for another 24 hours. Crafting a Secret Pack card will also reset the pack’s timer if it is already available in the shop, extending the time players have to pull packs from it.
In order to find out which Secret Pack to unlock to get a specific card or archetype, players can simply search for a card they want from that archetype in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel’s deck builder and select ‘How to Obtain.” This will show which Secret Pack the card belongs to, at which point players can craft any Super Rare or Ultra Rare card from that pack to unlock it.
