The season 3 finale found Liza having to confess her big secret to Kelsey so here's how Younger season 4 episode 1 dealt with the emotional fallout. Younger follows a divorced, 40-something mother called Liza Miller (Sutton Foster), who has to go back to work after her former husband lost their savings. The series is based on the popular novel by Pamela Redmond which was published in 2005.

To secure a job in publishing, Liza decides to pass herself off as a 26-year-old, where she becomes an assistant to the head of marketing at Empirical Press. She also starts a relationship with a younger man named Josh, played by Nico Tortorella (The Following), who also isn't aware of the age difference between them. The Younger series was created by Sex And The City's Darren Star and has been a big hit for the TV Land network.

Liza also becomes friends with co-worker Kelsey, played by Hilary Duff (Gossip Girl), whilst working at Empirical. While her new job reenergizes Liza, she also has to maintain the lie into order to keep her true age a secret. In the season 3 finale, she came clean to Kelsey about her real age and Younger season 4 episode 1 "Post Truth" picks up from this revelation. While Liza might feel good about getting it off her chest, Kelsey is understandably furious about her new best friend lying to her all this time.

Part of Liza's confession was motivated by an author named Emily, who learned her true age and was trying to blackmail her into publishing her book. Kelsey instead insists she maintain the lie since it could damage the company, and they resolve the blackmail situation together. Kelsey isn't exactly in the mood to make up with Liza and gives her the cold shoulder. Younger season 4 episode 1 also shows the impact of Liza' lies on Josh, who witnessed her kissing her boss Charles, played by Peter Hermann (Trouble With The Curve), in the previous season.

While Liza deals with the emotional aftermath of her reveal and deciding between Josh and Charles, she discovers Kelsey and Josh are moving in together as roommates - which sets up all manner of love triangle potential. Liza's lies have always been a ticking timebomb on Younger and it was only a matter of time before she was found out. Needless to say, neither Kelsey nor Josh take her constant lies very well, with Younger season 4 episode 1 also proving the longer she keeps lying, the worst the fallout will be.
