The latest Young Sheldon season 6 images debut grown-up Missy and Sheldon's church tantrums. It was a rather busy end of the year for the Coopers in Young Sheldon season 5 with Georgie's unexpected pregnancy news. As this major development sends a ripple effect toward all members of the clan, its youngest members are left to fend for themselves as George and Mary focus on helping their older brother. After its mandatory summer break, however, expect that Young Sheldon season 6 will continue to evolve more into a family show rather than a typical sitcom.Filming for Young Sheldon has been in full swing for a while now, with various set images and videos making the rounds online and informing fans of what they can expect from The Big Bang Theory prequel's impending return. CBS has also released the official Young Sheldon season 6 premiere synopsis. Titled “Four Hundred Cartons of Undeclared Cigarettes and a Niblingo,” it confirms that the comedy will directly tackle season 5's cliffhanger ending, where it was revealed that Meemaw and Georgie have been arrested. Elsewhere, Mary drags the twins back to church despite the congregation turning its back on the family.Related: Young Sheldon Season 6 Doubles Down On Big Bang Theory Mary Plot HoleNow, new images from Young Sheldon's official Twitter account reveal what these plotlines will look like when the family comedy debuts its sixth season. The image set includes Georgie and Meemaw locked up and Sheldon making a scene at church. The social media account caps it off with a single shot of Missy looking much more grown up. Check out the promotional stills below:

A previously-released Young Sheldon season 6 image shows Georgie and Meemaw seemingly appealing their case to an officer, perhaps even leaning on the fact that they only smuggled cigarettes because they need money for the impending arrival of a new baby in the family. Amid all of these marketing efforts for Young Sheldon season 6 thus far, CBS, noticeably, has yet to reveal the first look at George. The upcoming year will be a big one for the Cooper patriarch as his cheating scandal is expected to play out sometime in the next season or two. Between Pastor Jeff coldly firing Mary and her burgeoning relationship with Pastor Rob, it's curious what George thinks of his family's return to church. It isn't outside the realm of possibility that Mary went without informing her husband, which could result in another conflict.

Despite not providing any context to the aforementioned images, it isn't difficult to predict what's happening in them. Georgie and Meemaw are perhaps bonding over their shared experience of being in prison, while Sheldon ends up causing a scene after he hears or sees something that annoys him. There is even a chance that it's about the congregation gossiping about them. Whatever it is, it is a big enough deal that he has to be pulled out of the church. The most interesting and mysterious image, however, is Missy's solo shot. The Cooper daughter was relegated to the side towards the end of Young Sheldon season 5, but that only proved why she is widely regarded as the best member of the family. Perhaps Young Sheldon season 6 could put more focus on her by further developing George's bond with his daughter.
