Raegan Revord confirms that Young Sheldon season 6 episode 13 did feature a Friends Easter egg. Aside from being the number 1 comedies of their respective times, there's really no connection between Young Sheldon and Friends. Yet, somehow, CBS was able to sneak in a fun reference to the iconic ensemble sitcom of the '90s and early 2000s in the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory prequel.

As confirmed by Revord on her official Instagram account, Paige's night of heavy drinking ended with her throwing up in the fountain famously featured in the Friends' opening credits at the tail end of Young Sheldon season 6 episode 13. Check out a screenshot of the actor's post below:

For context, in the Young Sheldon episode "A Frat Party, a Sleepover and the Mother of All Blisters," Sheldon accidentally comes across Paige, who is sneaking in and out of college parties. In his attempt to keep an eye on her, the boy genius also bumps into his sister, who is doing something similar. In the end, the Cooper twins are forced to take care of a still-troubled Paige.

How The Friends Fountain Ended Up In Young Sheldon

As previously mentioned, there are no narrative ties between Young Sheldon and Friends. Despite being both comedies, the shows tackle very different topics; as it breaks away from The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon has become a family series, while Friends explores early adulthood. They also take place in different states, with Sheldon spending his childhood with his family in Texas while Monica, Chandler, and the rest of their gang are all based in New York.

However, both shows are produced by Warner Bros. Television. This means that Friends was filmed in the same production lot that Young Sheldon is now shooting in, hence why The Big Bang Theory prequel has access to said fountain. It doesn't seem like there's any narrative significance to this Easter egg. Considering the fact that Friends premiered in 1994, and Young Sheldon is currently in 1993, there's no way that Sheldon or any of his family would recognize the landmark – at least not yet.

While it doesn't have any links to Young Sheldon, Friends has ties to The Big Bang Theory, with both Sheldon and Joey sharing an odd trait – their penchant for having a spot. Aside from that, they are also often compared due to their similarities, although there doesn't seem to be any competition between them. In fact, several The Big Bang Theory stars have even proposed a reunion formatted after Friends' recent HBO Max special.
