The Young Sheldon season 5 finale trailer reveals George and Mary's fights worsening more and more. The Big Bang Theory prequel's current season only has one episode left after its rather heavy penultimate outing. However, it doesn't seem like the Coopers will be catching a break as George and Mary's arguments not only continue but get worse.

Ever since it was revealed in Young Sheldon's 100th episode that Georgie accidentally got his girlfriend pregnant, the Coopers have been scrambling with how to deal with the situation. The main disagreement involves George and Mary, who have been arguing about the next course of action for the couple. While Mary wants them to get married, like she and her husband did when they were in the same predicament, Sheldon's dad thinks it's a bad idea. The couple's rift starts to spill into other aspects of their marriage and in Young Sheldon season 5, episode 21, things took a turn for the worse after George finally comes face-to-face with Pastor Rob.

The Young Sheldon season 5 finale is titled "A Clogged Pore, a Little Spanish and the Future." The episode's synopsis offers viewers an idea of what to expect from it. For starters, Mary and George will be on the hunt for new jobs, which fits in with what's been revealed in the trailer. George is understandably worried about their financial situation after Mary gets fired. But it's curious if this also means that he is going to be booted out of his job at Medford High School — something that he has been worried about for a while now. Elsewhere, Sheldon will be dealing with the first signs of puberty and Missy will come in to help him navigate it. Meanwhile, Meemaw will take a business trip across the border, and it appears as if Georgie is with her.

Viewers of Young Sheldon know that George has always been worried about money. With Mary now out of a job, it's curious if the reason why he gets mad at his wife in the trailer is that she's still holding out hope that the church will bring her back. Considering how cold Pastor Jeff was in firing her, Mary might be forced to accept that the congregation has turned its back against her. Whether or not this finally kickstarts the breakdown of their marriage is unknown, but given the established timeline on The Big Bang Theory, it's highly possible that things will only get worse from here on out.
