Young Justice: Phantoms has unveiled a new poster for their upcoming seasons which reunites the original team. Young Justice returns for its fourth season on HBO Max, after it returned from a six-year hiatus on the now-defunct DC Universe app. The series follows a group of young superheroes who undergo covert ops missions that the Justice League cannot due to their high-profile status.

The original team on Young Justice consisted of a core team of characters with Dick Grayson's Robin, Wally West Kid-Flash, Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Artemis, with Zatanna and Rocket joining the team later in season 1. The following season expanded the roster to include more heroes including fan favorites like Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, and Cyborg. As the series went on and the roster of characters expanded, various heroes got put on the back burner with the main team having less screen time together each season as they'd grown apart and had their own lives. As a result, many wondered what could be in store with the recently announced Young Justice: Phantoms.

Ahead of DC FanDome, a new poster has been unveiled for Young Justice: Phantoms. Collider released the poster that puts the focus on the original members of the team from season 1, minus Wally West Kid Flash, who died at the end of season 2. No official release date is given, but the poster does tease it will be streaming soon to HBO Max, so an official release date announcement is likely imminent. Check out the poster below:

The spotlight on the main core group of characters is likely to please fans of the series. While the original six members of the team got a fair share of the first season dedicated to them, Zatanna was only featured in a few episodes, and Rocket joined the team in the two-part season finale. In Young Justice season 2, after the five-year time jump, Rocket and Zatanna were full-fledged members of the Justice League and were featured less on the show in favor of new younger heroes. If season 4 is focused on the original members, it could be a great time to expand their roles. The two characters could be getting more spotlight given Zatanna is getting a movie rumored to be for HBO Max, and DC just reintroduced the various Milestone Comics characters like Rocket into the comics.

The title Young Justice: Phantoms and the presence of the main team also raises an interesting possibility that Wally West Kid-Flash will return. Wally West's death was very similar to Barry Allen's in the original Crisis on Infinite Earth comic event, and the poster puts a giant orange ball of energy behind Nightwing. While that could easily be a boom tube, it could also be the opening of the Speed Force. Season 3 showed that Zatanna's magic and Miss Martian's telekinesis made Artemis think she had a conversation with Wally West in the afterlife and that she finally has moved on, so if Wally returns that could spell trouble for the team and their relationships and trust.
