Young Justice season 3, episode 22, "Antisocial Pathologies" could be setting up a villain civil war. This episode already featured the heroes in disarray after Batman's plans fell apart and divided the team. The villains are not fairing much better either and multiple super villains have their own agendas clashing simultaneously with others.

While most of these super villains have put on a front of working together to defeat the various hero teams, there has been clear tension building between the larger egos in the group. Lex Luthor is always looking out for his interests first. Deathstroke is scheming a plan with his mole in the Outsiders, and even the most powerful members like Vandal Savage and Darkseid are starting to come to odds.

The Light represents a group of the most dangerous super villains the world has known working together under Vandal Savage. Consisting of villains like Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Deathstroke, Ultra-Humanite and Gretchen Goode, the team has been the primary antagonizing forces for the Justice League since season 1. At the end of season 2, Vandal Savage is shown appearing before Darkseid and proclaiming "business as usual" as the season closed. This strongly hinted that the Light is now working with Darkseid and Apocalypse.

Young Justice Outsiders Granny Goodness Gretchen Goode Halo

Darkseid is not one to commonly work in a team, his rule is normally law and he prefers everyone, hero or villain, to be beneath his feet at all times. With Gretchen Goode's orders from Darkseid becoming even more wide-reaching, other members of the light are starting to feel the power Darkseid truly holds over them. This is mostly felt when the Light is discussing how much power Gretchen Goode and Darkseid have following the discovery of the Anti-Life Equation. This causes Savage to break his tablet and have a look of both fear and disgust on his face - far cry from their handshake on equal terms last season - and it's clear Savage does not want Darkseid having unlimited power to himself.

The other members of the Light are also being directly affected by Darkseid's games. Ultra-Humanite has had a mole in the midst of the heroes through Helga Jace and right as his plan to capture Halo came to fruition, Gretchen Goode arrived to take Halo for herself and Darkseid. Elsewhere, Deathstroke is not standing idly by on the sidelines. Slade is also having his apprentice, Tara, feed him information on all activity from the heroes and is lining up his plans to betray the Light. Knowing what Gretchen Goode and Ultra-Humanite were about to attempt, he gave Tara the means to escape the mind control chip which came in handy later in the episode.

It turns out that other members of the Light were also aware of this and already pre-planned Tara and Brion's escape. All of this shows the villains are just as broken and divided as the heroes are. Yet unlike the heroes, the villains are on the pathway towards true self-destruction. If Darkseid and Gretchen Goode continue to meddle in the affairs of other Light members and Deathstroke, Vandal Savage, and Lex Luthor lose their patience, a civil war could be on the way with only four episodes left in the seasons.
