Kevin Bacon will reunite with Stir of Echoes director David Koepp for the psychological horror film You Should Have Left, and here's what we know. While Bacon isn't primarily known as a horror star, he actually has a good amount of credits within the genre. Bacon played lead Val McKee in 1990's first Tremors film, starred in afterlife thriller Flatliners that same year, and also starred in 2000's Invisible Man reinvention Hollow Man. That's in addition to his 1999 turn in the aforementioned Stir of Echoes.

Bacon also starred for three seasons as FBI profiler Ryan Hardy on the FOX serial killer drama The Following. Meanwhile, Koepp also helmed the 2004 Stephen King adaptation Secret Window, along with writing blockbusters like Jurassic Park, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, and War of the Worlds 2005. Koepp and Bacon boast formidable individual resumes, and it'll soon be apparent whether or not the combination of their two creative forces together will once again reap horror rewards.

You Should Have Left Trailer Reveals Blumhouse Thriller Releases Next Week On Demand

You Should Have Left releases via premium video-on-demand on June 19, 2020. What the premium prefix means is that watching the film will run consumers a cool $20. At the same time, a night out for more than one person at the movies would cost way more than that in most places, so there's pros and cons. This type of release has worked out well for several other films previously bound for theaters, which is surely what Blumhouse is banking on.

You Should Have Left Trailer

Along with announcing its coming release date, Blumhouse and distributor Universal Pictures unveiled a full trailer for You Should Have Left that looks to preview Theo's descent into madness. If the house really is supernatural, and the trailer certainly suggests that's the case, viewers could well be looking at a modern-day take on The Shining, in which a crazed dad eventually targets his family.
