Fans of the hit Netflix series, You, had been waiting patiently for the release of season 3 chronicling everyone's favorite stalker, Joe Goldberg. It may have been quite a long wait, but viewers wasted no time binging the series and making some hilarious meme content as they reacted to the chaotic serial-killers-turned-suburban-parents.

Season 3 is the most action-packed yet as Joe and Love try and fail to kick their more bloody habits. The more bloodshed the Quinn-Goldbergs incurred, the more anxiety-induced comedic observations the fans made, and there are some that are a cut above the rest.

Joe And Henry In The First Episode

Joe and Henry in the first episode (joe and baby looking suspiciously at each other on american dad)

For some reason, Joe had a persistent problem with feeling connected to Henry. He complains repeatedly in the first episode that he was supposed to be a girl, and every time he held or looked in the general direction of Henry, Henry would cry. It's understandable, though. After all of the stalking and murders, Joe's not exactly the best dad in television history.

The two were not off to a great start and fans completely picked up on it, creating this funny and accurate meme. Joe gives Henry that exact look several times in the season 3 opener, and Henry was just as dubious as his dad. As an added comedic bonus, the meme features another famous dad named Joe.

We Strongly Advise You To Not Do That Anymore

The detectives' faces are mirror images of fans' faces when Joe was so quickly uninvested in his new wife and child and needed to sneak off to a Whole Foods for alone time in the not empty parking lot. After all, the existence of a potential family is the only reason he let Love live, but he's back to his old ways after no time at all.

Joe has had a penchant for pleasuring himself in very public, not at all discreet, places and every time fans are screaming at their screens for him to stop, just like the detectives advise him to do. It's a miracle he hasn't been discovered in these wild scenarios.

Love Is Surprised Every Time

With a body count approaching double digits and literally nonexistent impulse control, Love quickly became the biggest villain of You season 3. It's a shock to fans that Love manages to be surprised and shaken every time she kills someone. Everyone but Love seems to know that she's anything but a calm and rational thinker.

This meme perfectly sums up viewers' reactions when they see Love's surprised face after she lures someone to her bakery basement or sneaks up behind them with a rolling pin. When murder is an established pattern, both Love and viewers know exactly what's going to happen.

No, You're The Murderer!

Joe and Love are in deep denial of their serial killer tendencies for much of the series. Like a fan pointed out in this meme, it's a pot and kettle situation for most of their discussions about murdering people, but neither one of them seems to be aware of their hypocrisy.

Joe, especially, seems to think that it's perfectly acceptable for him to repeatedly stab someone and stage a fake mugging, but totally not okay if Love kills the woman he cheated on her with. Fans have even expressed the unpopular opinion that Joe needs to be more self-aware. Love's incredulity comes mostly from her fear of Joe planning her own murder.

Cary's Different Forms

Cary was an aggressively obnoxious character at first, but over time he and Sherry became fan favorites for their engaging fall from grace. As more and more stress was put on the two, they showed more of their inner bizarre personalities and it was truly entertaining to watch.

The two had quite the transformation over the course of the show, and this meme of Cary's different forms as Spongebob pictures is hilariously accurate. The man was a meek and IBS-affected soft guy in the cage, and an absolute beast who could survive a fall off of a cliff in the woods.

Spoilers, Unexplained

you season 3 summarized in images, featuring amy dunne, a map of anti-vaxxers, people all kissing, and the eiffel tower

It's always great when fans can completely communicate the entire plot of a show in simply a few pictures. After all, the general point of a meme is to communicate a joke or reference in very few words or no words at all, and this particular "spoilers unexplained" meme does an amazing job of that.

For You, @chxrrylush picked a frame from Gone Girl, an homage to one of David Fincher's strongest female characters, Amy Dunne, to reflect the search for Natalie and the implication of her husband, Matthew. Then there's a map of anti-vaxxers in reference to Henry getting the measles from unvaccinated kids, a polyamorous cartoon in regards to the attempted foursome with Sherry and Cary, and finally an ode to Joe's escape to Paris.

What Joe Sees

what everyone else sees : a hat, what joe sees: harry potter's invisibility cloak

It's unbelievable how much Joe thinks a baseball cap hides him from being noticed. Joe is much smarter than Penn Badgley's Dan Humphrey character, but he mistakenly thinks his signature cap is some sort of invisibility cloak. This season, fans got to see him being called out more than in previous seasons. Ryan even spots Joe in his AA meeting and sees him following him in the parking garage.

It's about time, too. After all, a baseball cap is a Clark Kent-level disguise and does just about as much to hide Joe's identity. Joe has gotten away with a lot by just wearing a baseball cap and acting "indiscreet," but fans agree that the serial killer stalker has way too much confidence in his hat.

Love Wouldn't Do That!

Theo's puppy dog obsession with Love seemed like it came out of left field, and fans couldn't believe just how resistant he could be to finding out the truth about her. She did, after all, sketchily keep asking him what his stepdad had on her and Joe. If that didn't point to her having some secrets, not much else could.

Except for having two people locked in a cage in your bakery basement, that is. Even when seeing the two people in the cage in the bakery that Love owns and is the only one with access to, Theo is still skeptical of Love's guilt, and fans had the exact same reaction as Cary and Sherry.

You're Many Things, But Not Murderers

You season 3 meme : "therapist: you're many things, but not murderers" and joe and love side eyeing each other

What does happen when two serial killers decide to go to couple's therapy? They make some breakthroughs, sort of. They have serious emotional work to do, as they're quickly becoming a couple as deadly as Bonnie and Clyde and leaving a blood trail behind them.

Fans were experiencing some serious dramatic irony when they had the above exchange with their therapist. Love expressed a particular fight in which she said that she was afraid Joe would kill her. When the therapist smiles and reassures them they're not murderers, viewers were right along with Love and Joe, giving screaming side-eyes.

Call An Ambulance! But Not For Me

You season 3 meme: call an ambulance, but not for me.

Fans of the show who are also avid TikTok users will recognize this meme right away. The original meme is actually from a commercial for a self-defense workshop for seniors. Maybe if Love had some self-defense training like the one featured in the meme, she could have avoided her untimely demise at the hands of Joe.

The meme is a hilarious one and pretty accurately describes Joe in the finale. Joe was in a bad spot when Love used her paralytic on him and it looked like she might be able to beat him. But, in true Joe fashion, he thought several steps ahead and was prepared for everything. It's a shame though, they really were perfect for each other, like Love said.
