Kevin Feige provides an update on the MCU adventures of Eternals' Eros, portrayed by Harry Styles, and Pip. The MCU film featuring an all-new ensemble was one of the first to premiere from Phase 4 in 2021, featuring a story distanced from the aftermath of the Blip and towards a new cosmic threat. It introduced a 10-person team sent to Earth thousands of years before in an effort to protect humans from aliens called Deviants, who later learned of their true mission from the god-like Celestials who sent them there. With a threat to Earth that lingered even longer than Thanos' destructive plans, the Eternals tasked themselves with saving the humans they once swore to protect.

The film however, didn't stay too far away from Thanos, as a post-credits scene introduced his Titan prince brother Eros. Also known as "Starfox," the handsome hero brought iconic heartthrob Styles to the MCU alongside his mischievous sidekick Pip the Troll (Patton Oswalt). The scene not only introduced these two characters but also seemingly set up for another Eternals adventure, as a followup to Eternals is in the works. Though the details on a sequel are limited, and no official followup has been announced, MCU fans are wondering what's next for Eros and Pip almost a year after their on-screen debut, whether their future lies in the Eternals saga or somewhere else in the MCU.

Feige, head of Marvel Studios and producer on all MCU projects, has provided an update on where viewers can expect to see Eros and Pip again. The Marvel president spoke to MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 and was asked if Styles would return as Eros with his faithful troll friend by his side. Feige provided a quick and enthusiastic yes, along with hints to cosmic adventures for the duo that will differ from those of heroes such as Doctor Strange and Spider-Man. See Feige's full response below:

"Yes, the adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us. And you talk about Ghost Rider, we've got Blade, we've got — with Doctor Strange, we're at the supernatural angles, we've got the street level with our announcement of Daredevil and of course Spidey going into the street level heroes, and cosmic. And that's where our friends Eros and Pip live."

Confirmation of at least some sort of plan for Eros and Pip in the MCU's future can finally put many viewers at ease who wondered if the duo would truly return, especially following the mixed reviews Eternals initially received. As the MCU continues to develop, it's now clear to see where Eros and Pip fit into the greater picture of The Multiverse Saga and beyond, finding their roots in worlds and universes much more expansive than that of the street level heroes. With the MCU building up to back-to-back Avengers films in Phase 6 and the end of the Guardians of the Galaxy on the horizon, it's uncertain when exactly Eros and Pip will make their MCU return, but we know at least that we've only seen the beginning of their cosmic adventures.

News about Eternals 2 continues to slowly unravel, between Eternals director Chloé Zhao providing "no comment" on a return for the sequel to Sprite actress Lia McHugh teasing a return of her character. In the waiting, viewers have now turned to the future of the MCU as revealed at Comic-Con 2022, unveiling Phase 5 and even hinting at what's to come in Phase 6. With Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conquerer set as the MCU's next "big bad," it seems as if Thanos' threat is now far behind the MCU heroes — but audiences know that his own brother Eros continues to wander with his own kind of chaos.
