Warning: contains major spoilers for Wonder Girl #3!

The newest Wonder Girl, Yara Flor, is woefully underdressed for her first meeting with a Greek Goddess. Wonder Girl #3 reveals that Eros has succeeded in bringing Yara to one of the many entities who are after her. To celebrate the occasion, she is getting a new outfit.

Yara Flor is DC's future Wonder Girl and Wonder Woman. She is going from being a powerless young lady estranged from her homeland to a powerhouse who will work alongside Jonathan Kent's Superman and the Justice League of the future. Her introduction in Future State didn't reveal her full origin, but her journey is progressing rapidly.

Wonder Girl #3 has the creative team of Joëlle Jones, Adriana Melo, and Jordie Bellaire. This issue features Eros chasing after Yara while running around from mythological Brazilian figures. After successfully hitting her with his arrow and separating her from João, Eros escorts her to Hera - but she isn't properly dressed for this meeting. As a result, he gets her a change of clothes, outfitting her in garb that is more fitting of the Amazons that fans are used to seeing. Her latest outfit is gorgeous, albeit very different from the super outfits that she'll rock as Wonder Woman in the near future and the casual clothes she's been wearing up to this point.

Once they arrive on Mount Olympus, Yara finds that she is in a new outfit. While it is beautiful, she isn't initially crazy about it since she liked her souvenir shirt from her trip to Brazil. However, her Olympian attire is fabulous and sleek. She appears to be in a chiton that has been gathered in a more modern cut, fitting a halter top style instead of a traditional ancient Grecian form. It also has staples of Amazon fashion, featuring armored pieces and golden accents. The accents include a choker atop the halter, an asymmetrical piece of armor on her left shoulder, and an armored bodice around her waist.

In the style of the Amazons, Yara wears a pair of golden gauntlets and a tiara. Her bodice also features a "W" accent in what appears to be the shape of a bird. Ironically, her asymmetrical outfit is very similar to Nubia's - the current queen of Themyscira - who is leery of Hera's plans for the new Wonder Girl. Yara's latest outfit is certainly more fitting for a meeting with the Olympian goddess, though it is a major diversion from the fashion aesthetic she has presented within DC's comic thus far. While this won't be her long term look, there is no doubt that this future Wonder Woman pulls off the traditional fashion of Olympus very well. Yara Flor could easily blend in with the Amazons of Themyscira, though she is more likely to want to carve out her own identity back in Brazil. Wonder Girl's latest outfit is stunning and fitting of a Goddess, throwing back to the previous Wonder Women and the earliest history of DC's Amazons.
