Félix "xQc" Lengyel, a popular Twitch streamer, recently announced that he is delaying his highly-anticipated 60-day subathon. The popular streamer, who was previously a professional Overwatch player, has made headlines for his often volatile viewer base and controversial behavior. He has also become known for streaming Grand Theft Auto Role-Play gameplay.

Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren recently made history by completing a 30-day broadcast, during which he streamed every second of his life for the entire month. From March 14 to April 14 Ahgren ate, slept and went about the rest of his daily routine while constantly streaming from Twitch, and this historic subathon has made him the most subscribed Twitch streamer of all time. Not to be outdone, xQc subsequently announced that he would complete 60-day subathon, doubling Ahgren's stream.

Esports and gaming resource Dexerto now reports that xQc has delayed his 60-day subathon until later this year. While the streamer initially stated that the historic livestream would begin within the next month, he has now backtracked and plans to complete the stream by the end of this year. The motivation behind this change of plans is apparently monetary, as xQc explained that he would be able to make more money off of stream ads closer to the end of the year.

xQc has found controversy in recent months, particularly as a result of his Grand Theft Auto Role-Play streams. Earlier this month LadyHope, a fellow GTA RP streamer, was briefly banned from Twitch after reading aloud a hateful e-mail sent to her by one of xQc's viewers. On May 4 xQc and LadyHope encountered each other on a NoPixel role-play server, which resulted in xQc's character being arrested by LadyHope's police officer character. The encounter led xQc's viewers to attack LadyHope with offensive emails and messages, and when one of these emails was read aloud by LadyHope she was briefly banned from Twitch. More recently xQc himself was permanently banned from the NoPixel role-play server after violating the server's rules by randomly attacking a fellow player. This most recent ban, xQc's fifth from the server, is apparently permanent.

xQc is a highly dubious figure within the Twitch community, as he and his viewer base have been involved in a number of recent controversies. Completing a 60-day livestream seems like an arduous task, but xQc's dedication to his viewers may help him complete the task. Ludwig Ahren's 30-day stream brought him to the top of the streaming platform's pantheon, so time will tell what comes of xQc's 60-day stream.
