Marvel Comics' Hellfire Gala is fast approaching, a major party hosted by the X-Men that promises to change mutant-kind and the Marvel Universe in some pretty big ways. However, Marvel Comics has just revealed some new details into the star-studded guest list, and some famous people have been invited to the mutant nation of Krakoa. While there are some expected guests like the Avengers and the Fantastic Four, celebrities such as Eminem and Conan O'Brien will be in attendance.

The Hellfire Gala has been teased for some time now in Marvel's various X-Men titles, and the extravagant evening will be depicted across 12 issues, each of them covering different angles and aspects of the massive mutant party. While the biggest thing readers know to expect will be the official debut of Krakoa's newly elected team of X-Men lead by Jean Grey and Scott Summer's Cyclops, teasers like this one have promised that'll only be the tip of the iceberg.

Now, Marvel Comics has just released a new teaser looking very much like a tabloid cover, speaking to the "rumors" of who the Hellfire Club's Emma Frost might have invited. Again, the Fantastic Four and Avengers are already confirmed to be attending, but the X-Men will also be inviting several famous human celebrities, sports stars, artists, and other personalities such as talk show host Conan O'Brien. The list also confirms Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Ira Glass, and Peter Alonso, but the most notable addition has to be Eminem, especially considering that the Hellfire Gala won't be his first time being depicted in Marvel Comics.

Previously in Marvel Comics past, Marshall Mathers' Eminem was featured in a one-shot where he teamed up with the Punisher. As such, he's certainly no stranger to working with Marvel and having his likeness depicted in the comics. In any case, it's going to be interesting to see how all of these real-life personalities interact with Marvel's greatest heroes.

All in all, this is a stroke of brilliance on Marvel's part, and it's a great opportunity to make not only the Hellfire Gala feel important, but to also provide an added realism to the Marvel Universe as a whole, especially since its heroes operate in real spaces like New York City. It's certainly a benefit it holds over the DC Universe and its more fictitious spaces such as Gotham or Metropolis. As a result, it makes perfect sense to have real-world celebrity counterparts invited to the biggest night of year for the X-Men in Marvel Comics.
