In a fantastic cosplay that shows the 90s insanity of the X-Men, Cable gets brought to life in a look that truly captures the era in which he was born from. Cosplayer Robert Paul Day shared his take on the X-Force hero with an incredibly detailed look that captures the overloaded '90s superhero aesthetic that made the time-traveling Cable such a fan favorite from his beginning with Marvel Comics.

Cable comes from the minds of Louis Simonson and Rob Liefeld, as the antihero arrived from a dark future to the present to join his fellow X-Men as a key member of the X-Force. The hero represented everything about the extreme era of the '90s, as he had larger-than-life weapons, a complex design with numerous weaponry and tech features, a metal arm, and perhaps most famously, more pouches than anyone single hero could ever need. Cable would quickly become a fan-favorite mutant, as his badass nature made him come across as cool in a time when coolness mattered most. Cable was adapted in live-action in Deadpool 2, where actor Josh Brolin played him.

On his Instagram page, cosplayer Robert Paul Day shared his take on the X-Men hero that he wore during Philadelphia FANEXPO. The look is absolutely superb, as it has all of Cable's best weapons, accessories, pouches, lights, metal arm, and protective padding. This isn't a cosplayer throwing on a suit and calling themselves a hero, but instead, a meticulously designed and crafted costume that honestly wouldn't look out of place in a live-action Marvel Comics adaptation. The small details, from the battle damage to the grey hair, and the scars on his eye, all help bring the hero to life in a stunning cosplay that oozes the '90s insanity Cable came from.

However, if we had to choose the best details of the costume, it would be Cable's excessive pouches, which were (and still are) very much a thing for the Marvel Comics character. Robert Paul Day's cosplay really hammers home how many pouches the X-Men-related antihero has, as we can count nearly 20 pouches throughout his costume. It's the perfect way to pay tribute to the character.

Cosplays, especially Marvel Comics ensembles, don't get much more detailed than the Cable look. By embracing the absolute insanity of the antihero's original design during his humble beginnings alongside the X-Men, Cable has rarely looked better. The costume is a work of art.
