Xbox's United Kingdom Twitter account recently posted a series of photos showing off season-appropriate knitwear - not for gamers, though: for controllers. Xbox's Twitter presence has developed a reputation for being somewhat cheeky and funny; especially after the unveiling of the Xbox Series X, which saw frequent comparisons to a refrigerator. As a result, Xbox actually took part in the joke and released a real Xbox Series X Mini-Fridge this past year.

For those hoping to get their hands on an Xbox Series X (and not the mini-fridge version) this coming year, they may be in luck. A recent restock of the Xbox Series X in the U.K. had available consoles for a full 24 hours after its drop, which is a good sign following a year of major consoles selling out in a matter of minutes or hours. The ever-elusive PlayStation 5 also stayed in stock during that time period, which is an unforeseen development similar to that of the Xbox Series X.

Xbox UK recently posted some accessories for those with its console's controllers, and they are perfect for the current wintry season. The tweet's photos showcase an adorable gray, white and green knit hat with matching mittens - not to be worn by humans, but by Xbox controllers. The last photo of the series even shows a person, they themselves without mittens or gloves, holding said controller. The controller's ensemble is certainly a fun and adorable sight to see; albeit also an impractical investment, but the tweet doesn't appear to suggest the knitwear set is actually for sale.

Even though the tweet shouldn't be taken seriously, fans still commented their desires to purchase the admittedly impractical Xbox controller hat and mittens set. One user simply wrote, "If only this was a real thing to purchase. Looks adorable," while another more elaborately commented an animated GIF of Fry from Futurama pulling out a wad of cash and exclaiming, "Shut up and take my money!" There are plenty of controller and console accessories that lack practical use, but still enhance gaming experiences.

Gaming in the comfortable warmth of the indoors is a wonderful way to spend time in during the winter; and thanks to this Xbox U.K. tweet, now Xbox controllers can get comfy and cozy, too. Even though this product is seemingly not available for sale, those talented enough to crochet or knit gaming accessories will likely have an easy time creating such a similar (or identical) set. Some gamers are incredibly talented when it comes to arts and crafts - with some crocheting their favorite in-game characters, such as those in Animal Crossing: New Horizons - so this could be a feasible task for some.
