AAA games Tekken 7, Civilization 6, and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: Remastered will be part of Xbox's Free Play Days this weekend. These three, big-budget games will be on sale, as well, including their various bundles and DLC. Free Play Days is a great initiative that allows Xbox players to try out some hidden gems that they might not have previously.

Tekken 7 released in June of 2017 on consoles and was praised by series veterans and gamers at large. Its robust roster, diverse move system, and fresh online play and the game continues to receive updates featuring new fighters and levels. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: Remastered was released in November 2020, having gotten a visual overhaul with the original being viewed of the best modern entries in the series. The game brought enjoyable competitive gameplay that let players go head-to-head as cop or racer. Finally, Civilization 6 originally released in October 2016 and was praised for its even deeper strategic gameplay, as well as continuing the series' legacy of replayability.

On its official blog, Xbox announced that these three games will be available for Free Play Days from Thursday, March 25 to Sunday, March 28. While it is not exactly unheard of to have three games for Free Play Days, these are pretty strong entries for the initiative, and each game has plenty for players to do in them. It might be difficult for some to fit an entire Civilization 6 game into one weekend, though, especially with its New Frontier Pass also on sale.

Not only will these games be available to play for free this weekend, they will also be on sale in the Xbox Store. Tekken 7 and its Ultimate Edition will be available for $10 and $20, respectively, while Civilization 6 will be $19.80 and Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: Remastered will be available for $23.88.

Xbox has been busy, as its recent acquisition of Bethesda was finalized in March. The Microsoft gaming division has simultaneously made big waves with its further focus on Xbox Game Pass. The monthly subscription has a few competitive services to contend with, but few boast the impressive catalog of games that Xbox Game Pass has to offer. Following the Bethesda acquisition, a stack of blockbuster games have also been added to the service. Series such as DOOM, Fallout, Wolfenstein, and The Elder Scrolls now bolster the ranks of the impressive Xbox Game Pass, giving the service some serious clout when it comes to game availability in a single place.
