A glitch has spoiled the upcoming library of EA games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass through EA Play. Microsoft has relied on Game Pass for some time as a major selling point for the new Xbox Series X/S. Now that the consoles have been released, Microsoft has been integrating more and more features into its streaming service, including brand new games and updates that add helpful features like game preloading and a coming soon page.

Xbox Game Pass is just one of many video game streaming services that have been cropping up with increasing frequency in the modern video game market. It's easy to understand the appeal of what has been broadly referred to as "the Netflix of video games," offering an extensive library of high-quality titles for a comparatively low regular subscription fee. Unfortunately, much like the movie and TV streaming services that inspired this model, the market is already being flooded with alternatives, forcing players to prioritize their subscription services or pay an exorbitant fee every month for access to all of them. EA Play is another available service; EA is offering several of its best titles online, and has even integrated its service into other streaming services, like Game Pass, in order to help distribute its titles. Unfortunately, EA Play is hardly a perfect system; when FIFA 21 released its ten hour early access build, the amount of downloads crashed EA Play on a wide scale.

As of November 10th, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has offered subscribers the EA Play experience at no extra cost. Unfortunately, PC players have had to wait for the service, which won't be arriving on computers until later this month. However, a glitch shared by Madiwka3 on Reddit (via WhatIfGaming) looks to have given fans a good idea of what to expect when the service finally does launch. The glitch gave the user an accidental early look at the EA Play library, and it's quite extensive. Major EA titles like The Sims 4, both Titanfall games, and the whole Dragon Age and Dead Space trilogies are coming to the service. The glitch prevented Madiwka3 from scrolling down, so there are surely even more titles that have yet to be discovered.

Such a wealth of EA titles coming to Game Pass makes Xbox's service a better deal than ever. Earlier this year, EA incorporated its live service into Steam at a cost of $5 a month. If Game Pass users could skip even that minor fee by getting the vast majority of EA Play games at no extra cost, that's a very good look for Microsoft and a lot more potential customers that could be coming in.

There's a lot of uncertainty in the market of video game subscription services. Many players prefer to know that they have full ownership over a game that they buy and pay good money for. But, at the end of the day, services like Xbox Game Pass and EA Play are offering a lot of video games at a very low cost, and that's not a bad deal at all.
