As the year comes to a close, Xbox Game Pass is introducing a few new games into its already impressive lineup for December 2022. Most of the year's largest releases have already come and gone, but a handful of new titles are already confirmed to be playable with Xbox Game Pass on the days they launch. There are also games that are expected to come to the service by the end of the year, even if a specific date hasn't been confirmed just yet.

Xbox Game Pass continues to be a great deal, and may still improve given the leaked Xbox Game Pass subscription tiers that that hint at a sort of family plan in the works. The newest entries to the service will be available on both PC and console, so players with any current tier should be able to give them a try. The platforms for games that don't yet have specific dates haven't been confirmed so far.

December 2022 Brings Several New Games To Xbox Game Pass

December 2022's new Game Pass additions span several genres, from JRPG to comedic action-adventure. The first to arrive is Hello Neighbor 2, a stealth-horror game and sequel to developer Nikita Kolesnikov's 2017 original. Players are tasked with sneaking into the houses of their malevolent neighbors, digging up unsettling secrets, and living to tell the tale. If that doesn't sound too bad, Hello Neighbor 2's AI learns from player behaviors, changing over time for everybody who plays the game. This is a clever way to force the game's community to adapt as well, changing strategies in a sort of arms race against the game itself.

Next to join Xbox Game Pass is Chained Echoes, a 16-bit style JRPG that combines a world with dragons, mech suits, and magic with turn-based combat and complex systems of equipment and skills. Players can customize their own airship as they explore a war-ravaged continent, hoping to bring peace between the kingdoms. The third and final title confirmed so far for Game Pass this December is a strange one - High On Life, a silly, comedic shooter from Squanch Games and Justin Roiland. The absurdist sci-fi adventure gives each weapon a literal personality as they banter back and forth with the player, comment on the game's events, and of course behave differently in combat. High On Life looks unapologetically hilarious, and given its developer's small, but impressive portfolio with projects like Trevor Saves the Universe, this newest entry will likely surprise and delight players when it comes to Xbox Game Pass.

Other games are scheduled to come to Xbox Game Pass before the end of the year, though exact dates aren't yet available. These range from the visually stunning action-platformer Solar Ash to the rock rhythm game Infinite Guitars. Each of these titles may become available through Game Pass on the same days they launch, or at a later date in December:
