The X-Men's Storm shows off her ruler might as the newly crowned Regent of Mars in a striking new cosplay by Marvel fan @Bythegoddess4 on Twitter.

Created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, Storm (aka Oruro Monroe) first debuted in 1975 in the comic Giant-Size X-Men #1 as an esteemed member of Prof. Xavier's X-Men. Her remarkable leadership and tactical combat skills have brought her to lead the X-Men and join the Avengers on several occasions. Storm's ability to control the weather makes her part of the Omega class of mutants alongside fellow X-Men Jean Grey. While once worshipped as a goddess due to her mutant powers, the Weather Goddess is now regarded as the new ruler of Arakko and Voice of Sol on the recently terraformed Mars, making her political positioning extremely vital for the future of mutant-kind. Her newly developed relationship with Wakanda's King, Tchalla, has also brought the couple closer together given their complicated Marvel history.

On Twitter, Marvel fan and cosplayer @Bythegoddess4 revealed a marvelous cosplay of Storm in her Regent of Mars attire.  The model tweeted her creative cosplay on a quote retweet of Storm's appearance in Black Panther #3 by Ibrahim Moustafa. There's no doubt this cosplayer is Storm fan; the cosplayer's Twitter name is listed as "Wakandan Queen Storm." Cosplayer @Bythegoddess4 is clear about the similarities she's share with the Windrider Storm—an observation no doubt many fans would agree with.

The detailed cosplay perfectly represents Storm's royal attire throughout Marvel's S.W.O.R.D and Black Panther (2021). Debuting as part of Marvel's Hellfire Gala event, Storm's ruler costume contains a black long sleeve leotard with gold accent jewelry. A prominent X-Men symbol adorns her shoulder pad armor, evoking her past association with the X-Men and her loyalty to her fellow mutants. One of the most memorable pieces of jewelry worn by the Weather Goddess is her large lighting bolt earpiece, which reminds constituents of her mutant powers and the many titles she upholds as Regent.

While she isn't an X-Men anymore, Storm still upholds her hero duties in protecting the mutants of Arakko. As a member of the Great Ring, Storm uses her training in combat to help defend her title from unruly challengers. In addition, Storm's previous title as Queen of Wakanda has also helped to establish her status as ruler. In Marvel's newest line of X-Men comics, Storm received a new costume worthy of her active duties proving that she's definitely earned her status. @Bythegoddess4's cosplay is not only a wonderful representation of Storm's strength but it also demonstrates why the X-Men remains popular amongst Marvel fans.
