Any thoughts that Triple H would be subtle about reshaping WWE in his image have gone out the window over the last few weeks, and it doesn't sound like he's done beefing up the roster yet. Once Vince McMahon retired, The Game took over booking and creative duties for both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. Triple H proved in NXT that he could piece together outstanding wrestling programs, but there was a thought that he'd be slow and steady in making changes at the main roster level.
Turns out The King Of Kings had other plans. Since taking over the book and the roster, Triple H has re-signed Dakota Kai and placed her in a stable with Bayley and IYO SKY. SKY was a call-up from NXT and one of the most underutilized wrestlers in the company. He also brought back one of the top free agents in wrestling in Karrion Kross. Kross, of course, is a former NXT champion that Triple H booked to be a monster in developmental, only to see him debut on the main roster and promptly lose to Jeff Hardy. Those are two massive and impactful additions to WWE's roster, but a recent report suggests that Hunter isn't done adding talent yet.
Fightful Select reports that there's a belief backstage that Triple H will continue to be aggressive in the retooling of WWE. "...we're told that several other talent have been discussed for returns, and a 'feeling out process' has occurred. Those that we spoke up told us to not expect Triple H to step off the gas pedal any time soon, as he re-shapes the roster to add depth. We've also heard of several talent meetings individually with Triple H that have already taken place during a busy first week of kicking Raw and Smackdown into gear."
Not only has Triple H brought some of his top stars from NXT back into the fold, but he's also given them prominent spots on the card. Kai is in a main-event level feud alongside Bayley and Sky, while Kross was immediately thrust into the unified title picture on the most recent episode of SmackDown. That bodes well for any other talent Triple H may be actively seeking to employ.
Perhaps the most prominent name left on the market with heavy ties to WWE's new Head Of Creative is Johnny Gargano. With Ciampa set to challenge Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship on the August 8 episode of Monday Night Raw, the stage could be set for Johnny Wrestling to hit the ground running on the main roster as well. WWE fans ought to buckle up because it sounds like Triple H is just getting started.
