WWE is aiming to make the Royal Rumble as big as possible, and adding Logan Paul to the match would go a long way toward making that hope a reality. The crossover media star was last seen at Crown Jewel, where he came up short in his title bid against Roman Reigns. Following the match, he said that he had torn several ligaments in his knee, but his brother, Jake Paul, would later clarify, stating that it wasn't that serious. Logan Paul has been dealing with MCL and meniscus injuries, however. The timeline to heal from that kind of injury is typically six-to-eight weeks. Crown Jewel was on November 5, meaning enough time might have passed for Paul to be ready to go for the Royal Rumble on January 28.

All injuries are different, but recent reporting from Fightful Select indicates that Logan Paul might be in WWE's Royal Rumble plans. ."..WWE is hoping that crossover star Logan Paul can appear at the WWE Royal Rumble show later this month. We haven't heard any solid details on the plan, but as of last week, WWE was hoping to have him train for an upcoming match. We can confirm they've at least inquired about it." For WWE fans who are curious, Fightful Select also reported that "[s]ince his last WWE appearance, Logan Paul was involved in a crypto scam, which we're told in no way has factored into WWE's decision to use him."

Logan Paul Is Built For Events Like The Royal Rumble

Logan Paul takes to the air in an attempt to finish Roman Reigns off at WWE Crown Jewel in 2022.

Logan Paul has only wrestled three times. Once at WrestleMania 38, at SummerSlam, and at Crown Jewel. Two of those three matches were legit show stealers, while his first match at the Showcase of the Immortals has its fair share of viral moments. His first-person frog splash onto Roman Reigns through the announce desk at Crown Jewel was one of the most re-watched moments in WWE history, and Paul seems to have a nose for these kinds of moments.

His inclusion at the Royal Rumble is a no-brainer if he's healthy. It could also help set up a match for Paul at WrestleMania 39. Wanting to fight someone because they eliminated him wouldn't be the most unique storyline genesis, but WWE might simply want to get the ball rolling on something. This premium live event is the starting point on the road to WrestleMania, so planting seeds at the Alamodome makes a lot of sense.

As for who Logan Paul could begin a program with, there's no telling which direction WWE could head. Recent rumblings indicate that a fight between Paul and John Cena would be in the cards. That's a match that Paul himself has used his considerable platform to lobby for. Given the caliber of the two stars involved, their build could take place across various social media sites, perhaps giving WWE the kind of buzz it wants ahead of the Show of Shows. There's virtually no chance that Paul would win the Royal Rumble, but the bout will be better for his inclusion. The Royal Rumble is set to take place on January 28 and could end up featuring some of the biggest names in WWE, ranging from The Rock to Cena to Edge.
