WWE might be planting seeds for a match between Roman Reigns and Logan Paul, and that'd be a sports entertainment homerun for the company. Both men are massive stars in their own right. The Tribal Chief is in the middle of one of the most historic championship runs in wrestling history, while Paul is a social media megastar. With that in mind, it's challenging to think of what WWE would have to lose by presenting a Reigns Vs. Paul match at one of its "big four" pay-per-views.

Reigns appeared on Paul's podcast, IMPAULSIVE, on September 14 and spoke about a handful of topics for around an hour. The conversation covered all sorts of things, including a possible match against The Rock at WrestleMania 39. That was the headline grabber, naturally. Interestingly enough, though, Reigns' comments indicated that given his stature in WWE now, he'd be able to take on comers from outside the world of professional wrestling. He was addressing a potential match with The Rock, but he could have also left the door open for a possible feud with Paul.

After Reigns left the podcast, Paul talked about how he believes he has what it takes to beat the Head Of The Table in a match, if it ever came to that. The unified champion caught wind of these comments and took to Twitter to ask Paul Heyman to "handle" the IMPAULSIVE crew. The Wiseman (via @HeymanHustle) told Reigns to consider it "HANDLED," and as of this writing, that's the end of it. It could, of course, simply be a Twitter exchange between two celebrities to get fans talking. The interaction has certainly done that and has already been picked up by multiple major media outlets. There's a reason, too: Reigns vs. Paul would be a massive draw and a huge deal for WWE.

Reigns Vs. Paul Would Garner Tons Of Attention

A day after posting to YouTube, Paul's interview with Reigns has already racked up 1.5 million views on YouTube alone. So there's plenty of interest in these two when they interact. A match between them is interesting because they can give each other rubs in important but different ways. For Logan, a battle against Roman would indicate that WWE fans should take him seriously as a wrestler instead of someone who comes in for the occasional frog splash. He's on a multi-match deal with the company, so there's already some faith there. But a bout against The Miz and a main eventer fight against Roman Reigns are different things.

Logan Paul has already proven to be a natural in the ring, as his matches have more than delivered so far. Paul would bring Reigns to a new segment of fans as well. There presumably isn't a lot of crossover between Paul's followers and WWE viewers, but that could change with a decent build and entertaining match between them. Paul wouldn't need a win against Reigns to look strong, either. If WWE's goal is to get Roman Reigns to WrestleMania 39 with his championship run intact, then it'll need to get creative in keeping his character fresh. An eventual match against Paul would do just that.
