WWE Elimination Chamber: Becky Lynch Destroys Ronda Rousey & Charlotte

Becky Lynch on WWE Raw

Following the Raw women's title match at WWE Elimination Chamber, Becky Lynch absolutely destroyed Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair with crutches. Women's wrestling has definitely come a long way in the last few years, at least when it comes to WWE. Not that long ago, women's division matches were often looked at by wrestling fans as "bathroom breaks" or "cool down" matches to put between the men's main events. Nowadays, WWE's female combatants are some of the hottest attractions in WWE, none more so than "The Man" Becky Lynch.

Popular with the crowd ever since her days in NXT, Lynch had hit a bit of a slump, rarely finding herself in contention for either of WWE's women's championships. Oddly enough, what it took to rejuvenate the fan-favorite grappler's career was a heel turn, or at least an attempted one. When Lynch turned heel on Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2018, the crowd didn't respond at all how WWE predicted, cheering Lynch and booing Flair.

In the months since, a new badass variation of Becky Lynch has emerged, one which has been compared multiple times to Attitude Era legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Lynch held the SmackDown women's title from September's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view until losing it to Asuka at TLC in December, but would go on to win the women's Royal Rumble match in January, earning a shot at Ronda Rousey's Raw women's title. That was until Vince McMahon took it away from her last week on Raw, and suspended her for 60 days. So, what's a "Man" to do? Show up at tonight's Elimination Chamber event and wreak havoc, that's what.

Following the scheduled Raw women's championship match at Elimination Chamber between champion Rousey and challenger Ruby Riott, Lynch emerged from the back on crutches, selling the knee injury that's propelled her underdog against the McMahon Family storyline as of late. Rousey was staring down her new WrestleMania opponent Charlotte Flair at the time, but Lynch didn't take long to get down to business, absolutely pulverizing Flair with one of her crutches. Charlotte took about a dozen stiff shots from the weapon, with welts appearing to form on her back near the end of the attack.

Lynch then handed Rousey the crutch, seemingly inviting her to join in beating Flair down. It was all a ruse though, with Lynch then inflicting a similar beating with the other crutch on Rousey, to the delight of the live Elimination Chamber crowd. Lynch's shots were just as stiff and painful-looking on Rousey as they were on Flair, with "The Baddest Woman on the Planet" appearing to bleed from the side of her head due to one of the hits. The obvious outcome here seems to be a triple threat match between Lynch, Rousey, and Flair at WWE WrestleMania in April.
