With the cast of characters, there are many strange words and phrases used. From Rick and Morty themselves to the beloved supporting characters, everyone who speaks in the show has said something weird. A lot of these phrases and words are ones that could be useful in everyday life. Here are ten Rick And Morty-isms to add to your daily vocabulary.

"Squanch"

Rick and Morty Squanchy

Squanchy is one of the many whacky friends of Rick that has popped up now and again throughout the show, turning into a popular minor character. The most distinctive feature of Squanchy is his use of the word squanch.

Squanchy uses the word to replace most of his verbs. If you are around fellow fans of the show, there may be no better singular word to use consistently in conversations with them. Even if they are not fans of the show, it will be hilarious to see their face when you use the word in every other sentence.

"AND THAT'S THE WAYYYYYY THE NEWS GOES"

Rick Sanchez has a wide variety of hilarious, strange, and nonsensical quotes throughout the shows four seasons. But, outside singularly great quotes, Rick is full of catchphrases.

One of these is, "And that's the wayyyyyy the news goes." It is a catchphrase without too much context but can be used as a perfect way to wrap something up or to move on from something and come to terms with it, similar to saying, "that's just the way it goes."  It can also be used to give anyone a pick-me-up or to lighten the general mood.

Anything From The Cromulons

The Cromulons appeared in the "Get Schwifty" episode of the show, demanding that Earth show them what they got in the form of music to satisfy them. This music gets presented in a reality show called Planet Music.

The Cromulons in the episode, are all immensely quotable. "SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!" "DISQUALIFIED!" "I LIKE WHAT YOU GOT!" There is so much good stuff that can be used in a variety of hilarious contexts to come out of that episode, not least of all from the Cromulons.

"OOH WEE!"

Rick and Morty Mr Poopy Butthole

Mr. Poopy Butthole  has become a beloved sporadic member of the cast and is another with a great catchphrase.

"Ooh wee" is more of a noise than anything else but is synonymous with the character and can be easily integrated into everyday vocabulary. This can be used if you are excited about something, or relieved that a good thing is over and would be a great addition to your daily vocabulary.

"In Bird Culture, This Is Considered A D*ck Move."

Birdperson holds a portal gun on Rick and Morty

Birdperson is a brilliant friend of Rick in the show. He has some hilarious moments and is always referring to his bird nature, and is so plain in his delivery of quotes, the best of which can be a phrase slotted into anyone's vocabulary.

When Morty abandons Rick and finds himself on Birdpersons planet, Birdperson tells Morty "in bird culture, this is considered a d*ck move." This whole quote can be used on anyone who needs and deserves to hear it. The first part, though, "in bird culture" is something that can easily be spun with a lot of sentences to make you seem that little bit funnier to Rick And Morty fans, and that little bit weirder to everyone else.

"GET THAT PARKOUR!"

Pickle Rick is one of the all-time highlights of Rick And Morty. It may well be one of the strangest, arguably dumbest premises of the show, but it delivered in every conceivable way. As well as just being drop-dead hilarious, and pretty iconic in the fan space, Pickle Rick is immensely quotable.

One that is easily transferable to the vocabulary is "get that parkour." Not only can it be used when one partakes in parkour, but any general athletic activity, or just any activity that takes any effort and the urge arises to unleash the Pickle Rick-ism.

"WHAT'S UP MY GLIP GLOPS!"

The season one episode "Ricksy Business" introduces fans to a plethora of weird and wonderful beings as well as a ton of great quotes. It has Rick and Summer throwing a party in the house that gets a bit out of control, and also leads to the well known "what's up my glip glops!"

Rick describes glip glop as a mash of the c-word and the n-word. But, anyone that is not a Rick And Morty fan does not know this, and if you use it as a friendly greeting to those who are, it will merely be a funny reference and a friendly yet insulting way to greet them.

"Tiny Rick!"

In "Big Trouble In Little Sanchez," fans are introduced to Tiny Rick. He is simply a younger version of Rick created through Operation Phoenix. He is initially an upbeat, optimistic version of Rick, but then the consciousnesses of the older Rick and young Rick do battle. Tiny Rick was a great one time character, with a great, simple catchphrase "Tiny Rick."

Tiny Rick uses this catchphrase whenever he is full of joy, excitement, or has achieved something or been triumphant. That is simply the best way to use "Tiny Rick" as a part of your vocabulary and can be used for significant victories and small wins throughout day-to-day life.

"WUBBA LUBBA DUB-DUB!"

Rick And Morty Wubba Lub A Dub Dub Line

Rick's most famous catchphrase, and perhaps the most common part of his vernacular, "wubba lubba dub-dub" pops up throughout the show. It is the phrase most associated with Rick and every fan should use it in their lives.

In the language of Birdperson, the phrase means, "I am in great pain, please help me." Rick, however, uses the phrase in exciting times, times of happiness, or at the very least when he does not care. It is the perfect phrase to whip out in a party situation, or in a random happy moment in a group.

"Get Schwifty!"

The best Rick-ism to make a part of your vocabulary comes from the episode, as mentioned earlier, of the same name as the phrase, "Get Schwifty."

The phrase is one big "lets party!" The difference is it is much cooler to use as a Rick And Morty phrase than a normal one. The fact there is a brilliant song to accompany the phrase only serves to make it that bit more valuable as a part of your vocabulary.
