While there is no release date yet, the Netflix biopic of Hulk Hogan's life and career in professional wrestling is something that has gained a lot of interest. With The Hulkster being such a big pop culture icon, there's a lot of people excited about this one, and with Chris Hemsworth set to play the wrestler, everything is pointing towards an excellent movie.

As the incredible Fighting With My Family proved, movies focused on wrestlers can be very entertaining. Because their characters are so over the top and their lives are often full of drama, they're the perfect people to base a movie around. But after the Hulk Hogan story has been told, what other wrestlers should be the focus of a movie?

The Rock

The Rock in WWE

Without a doubt, the most well-known wrestler of all time, The Rock would obviously make a perfect person to have a biopic about. While everyone knows who he is and his Hollywood career, taking a deep dive into his time in wrestling could be a lot of fun for Netflix to explore.

Taking a look at his rise into the industry with his family legacy, how the fans initially hated him, and how he eventually became the top star in the company would be interesting. Because of his name value, this would draw in huge interest, and if his upcoming Young Rock project, about his own life as a child, goes well, it could be even more likely.

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle would be another really interesting subject to cover in a biopic, with this being able to be really raw and gritty. With his amateur wrestling background, Angle won an Olympic Gold Medal in wrestling before joining WWE, and that would be a great launching point for a biopic.

He then went on to reach the very top of the professional wrestling world before his life came crumbling down due to addiction to pain medication.  This obviously provides some natural highs and lows for the biopic, which is always crucial, and would certainly make for an interesting watch.

The Undertaker

WWE - The Undertaker Close-Up

Simply because this character was so genuinely shrowded in mystery and secrecy, it would be very intriguing to get a biopic about The Undertaker. Opening up on what has really happened throughout his career behind the scenes, with the highs and the lows covered, would really be a lot of fun.

This is something that could be made slightly scary if needed as well at times due to the dark nature of The Undertaker's character, which makes his potential biopic totally different from a lot of others.

CM Punk

CM Punk

CM Punk's rise to the top of the wrestling world was a very unique journey, and because of that, he would make for a great biopic that would be very different. This would be more like the story for Paige, as he goes through the independent scene, constantly being knocked back only to finally make it and still have to deal with issues once in WWE.

Punk's eventual rise to being the number one star in wrestling was an amazing one to see, plus because he had such a public fallout with Vince McMahon, there are some intriguing topics to dive into that could interest a lot of people.

Triple H

Triple H

Someone who played a huge part in the Attitude Era and is well known around the world is Triple H, who is another wrestler whose career would make for an interesting biopic. Triple H has been involved in so many major moments, from the infamous Curtain Call with the Kliq to his role in D-Generation X, there's a lot to cover here.

Plus, seeing how his relationship with Stephanie McMahon came about, how it changed his career, and what the McMahon family are really like would certainly be an intriguing aspect for most people.

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy

The key to choosing someone to cover in a biopic is making sure there's a lot of interesting moments in their lives, and that is why Jeff Hardy would be the right call. Seeing his rise to the top, from wrestling in his backyard to being the Tag Team Champion would be brilliant.

Jeff eventually becoming the World Champion would make for a great high point, but with all the issues Jeff has had with his addictions, there are plenty of low moments as well which can be taken into account, especially his infamous match with Sting at TNA Victory Road, which had to be cut short due to Jeff being high. It would be emotional, it would teach people lessons, and most of all, it would be entertaining.

Bret Hart

Bret Hart

Bret Hart is arguably the greatest in-ring technician of all time, and he has certainly lived a life that is worthy of being turned into a biopic by Netflix. Seeing him learn and train inside the Hart Dungeon and rise to the top, only to be legitimately screwed out of the World Title during the infamous Montreal Screwjob that would make for a really dramatic movie.

There have been plenty of really emotional moments as well, with his brother, Owen Hart dying during a ring entrance from the rafters, plus his career was ended in the ring by Goldberg. However, there is a happy ending too with Bret and Vince McMahon patching things up, which would bring a perfect ending to this one.

Steve Austin

Steve Austin

The most popular professional wrestler of all time, Stone Cold Steve Austin would certainly make for a great biopic. Because his rise to the top is what took WWE to a new level, allowing the company to win the Monday Night Wars as wrestling went to new heights of popularity in the Attitude Era, he'd be a perfect choice.

Following his personal journey would be very interesting, from his experiences with WCW, which ended badly, to his chance in ECW, there are a lot of ups and downs in his career that would be well worth exploring, with some funny backstage stories to no doubt be told along the way.

Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit

When it comes to movies about professional wrestlers, Chris Benoit's name is always in the conversation. A movie about him has been rumored for a long time, and it is certainly something that people want to see as it could be a truly gripping and heartbreaking film.

Obviously, the main interest surrounding this movie is the way Benoit's life ended, murdering his wife and children before committing suicide. It's one of the most controversial topics in wrestling history, and would certainly make for an intriguing movie.

Ric Flair

Ric Flair

When it comes to wrestlers with extraordinary lives, Ric Flair certainly takes the top spot. Much like Hulk Hogan, Flair is well-known outside of the wrestling community, which would draw a big interest, with the Nature Boy being a man who really did live his gimmick.

Wild partying, a crazy love life, and an incredible in-ring career make for a lot to be told about Flair in a movie. From surviving a plane crash to being the top star in wrestling with a career filled with highs and lows, his story would be a great biopic.
