Blizzard has finally announced the roadmap of important dates for the highly anticipated ninth expansion to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. This expansion will be monumental in the changes it brings with the new class and race combinations, a revamped talent tree, the dragonflight ability, and more. The excitement is building as the roadmap details launch dates now set for each phase of the WoW: Dragonflight expansion to begin.

Some timelines, such as for the October 25 release of WoW: Dragonflight's pre-patch content, had been correctly speculated prior to the official announcement taking place. This date does not contain everything that was originally thought to be included, however, as some content has been pushed to phase 2. Instead, the bulk of phase 1 will be the technical changes as well as new class and race combinations. Players can enjoy using this time to level fresh characters and familiarize themselves with the new interface and talent tree updates as they look forward to the next phases to take place.

Speculations and rumors have filled the internet for weeks, and now Blizzard has at long last announced the official dates for each phase of the WoW: Dragonflight expansion, including descriptions of what to expect in the first two phases. Some dates, such as when the new Dracthyr Evoker class/race will be playable, are unexpectedly different from previous announcements. While disappointing that the new character type will not be available immediately at the pre-patch on October 25, it is a positive indication that the developers are wanting to perfect the Dracthyr prior to its debut.

All The Dates Relating To WoW: Dragonflight's Launch

Each of these phases will bring large amounts of content into World of Warcraft for players to enjoy. Additionally, the Winds of Wisdom experience buff is currently active in the game, providing players with a 50% experience gain for all characters level 10-59. This boost to experience will end when the Dracthyr Evoker becomes playable on November 15, 2022.

WoW: Dragonflight Phase 1 Date - The Pre-Patch Begins

Phase 1 of Dragonflight's content release will be the pre-expansion patch on October 25. The new race/class combinations announced for Dragonflight will take place at this time, meaning that the rogue, priest, and mage classes will be available for all races to use. The new Rated Solo Shuffle which was originally introduced as the PvP Brawl will add the rating system to Solo Shuffle for credit toward seasonal rewards and achievements.

This phase also contains many technical changes to the game rather than just providing the stories and lore which will come later at launch. These include:

• Talent trees will be re-introduced to empower players to make their own creative talent choices with meaningful options every step of the way.
• The Heads-up Display User Interface (HUD UI) is updated to allow for customization as well as provide a more modernized appearance to the layout.
• More accessibility features are added, such as gamepad support, "press and hold" spellcasting, and interact keys.

WoW: Dragonflight Phase 2 Date - Dracthyr Evoker Is Available

The second phase of the expansion on November 15 ushers in the new demon hunter-like Dracthyr Evoker to WoW. The first-ever race and class combination can switch between humanoid and draconic forms and specialize in either ranged damage or being able to heal their allies. Along with the Dracthyr Evoker, this phase unlocks the zone The Forbidden Reach as the Dracthyr's starting zone and a dungeon, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr in the Badlands of the Eastern Kingdoms.

Primal Storms begin to occur in the world during phase 2 to set the stage for Dragonflight launching. These in-game events include new world events and quests as the Dragonflights' enemies, the Primalists, initiate attacks on Azeroth.

WoW: Dragonflight Phase 3 - The Expansion's Official Launch Is Nov. 28

November 28, 2022, will finally see the full launch of the World of Wacraft: Dragonflight expansion. The Dragon Isles awaken and adventurers can explore four new zones: The Waking Shores, Ohn'ahran Plains, Azure Span, and Thaldraszus.

Players will be able to unlock the new dragonriding ability, as well as level up alts and main characters to the new cap of level 70. Seven additional dungeons will be released with this expansion; Ruby Life Pools, Brackenhide Hollow, and The Nokhud Offensive will all be dungeons for leveling. Four max-level dungeons will also be included in WoW: Dragonflight: Neltharus, The Azure Vault, Halls of Infusion, and Algeth'ar Academy.

WoW: Dragonflight Phase 4 Dates - When Raids Open

After a couple of weeks for players to prepare, December 13 will open the raid, Vault of the Incarnates, and start the new Mythic+ and PvP seasons. This raid will allow for cross-faction, and the Hall of Fame entries will require at least 16 raiders to be members of the same guild and faction in order to be eligible for rewards.

The journey to the Dragon Isles is beginning soon, with an incredible amount of content over the next couple of months. Players will have plenty to keep themselves busy with as each phase of the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion is released.
