The Kardashians and Jenners have been going all-out for Halloween since before Keeping up with the Kardashians ever aired, but they have suffered a few costume fails over the years. Each year, the large family dress up in several different costumes for their elaborate parties, and fans are eager to see what they come up with each year. Though they have had some creative costumes, like Kim Kardashian outfitting the whole family as Tiger King, there have also been some questionable choices.The Kardashians stars costume fails are not always for Halloween, as Kylie Jenner infamously had a Handmaid's Tale-inspired party that fans felt was inappropriate. Due to the heavy nature of the show that features women enslaved in a dystopian society, having her and her friends dress up as the handmaids felt very insensitive to many fans. Viewers may also recall KUWTK's Scott Disick turning heads for all the wrong reasons when he dressed up as an Arab Sheikh back in 2014. Though the Kardashian-Jenners usually kill their costumes, like Kylie as Marilyn Monroe or Kendall Jenner as a Mars Attacks character, they have had some missteps in the past.
3. Kim Kardashian Is Accused Of Cultural Appropriation
Kim has been accused of cultural appropriation with her costumes not once, but twice. She has had some iconic costumes, as she stunned last year in a silver cowgirl ensemble. However, The Kardashians fans were disappointed with the reality star when she debuted a costume as beloved R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton in 2017. Though Kim later apologized for the look, she also posted a clip of herself the same year dressed as another singer of color, Selena Quintanilla, leading fans to call her out again on Twitter.
2. Kris Jenner's Controversial Costume
Momager Kris Jenner did not learn from Kim's mistakes, and fans had the same reaction to her 2019 costume. While her son Rob Kardashian was dressed as a troll, Kris wore a Day of the Dead costume and posted it on Instagram. The costume represents a traditional Mexican holiday, and Kris pairing it with the traditional makeup rubbed many fans the wrong way. She was also called out for cultural appropriation by many KUWTK fans, but she has impressed in more recent years, especially as Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
1. Khloe Kardashian Is A Pimp
Khloe Kardashian had the worst Halloween costume fail back in 2003, but pictures resurfaced in recent years and fans are still shocked by it. The poorly aged picture shows her dressed as a pimp holding four women on leashes. Actress Meagan Good was one of the women in a collar, and shared that she regretted the confusing costume, but fans had a harder time forgiving Khloe for the outrageous idea. The Kardashians star has opted for more family-friendly costumes with her daughter True Thompson in recent years, which fans wholeheartedly support.
