As soon as October hits, horror buffs cannot wait to sink their (fake vampire) teeth into some good old-fashioned horror films. Watching scary movies is acceptable any time throughout the year, of course, but the terror is amplified throughout the month of October thanks to Halloween. With the help of haunted houses, dimly lit pumpkins, and a brisk chill in the air, horror movies throughout the month of October just seems right.

There are oodles of scary movies to choose from, but according to IMDb, this list of 10 should be ignored. Out of a 10-star rating, these movies barely made an impressive dent. In fact, it appears viewers who watched these movies hated it so much they went out of their way to make sure others don't waste their time watching it either. Here are 10 Of The Lowest-Rated Horror Movies (According To IMDb).

OLD 37: 3.9

Old 37 was a horror film that came out in 2015 and was so bad, viewers even gave it a 33% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film focuses on two brothers who are clearly mentally unwell as they dress as paramedics to torture the victims they "save."

The two sicko brothers meet their match when they attack a young girl who fights back and the battle between good and evil goes on from there. Viewers on IMDb gave this movie 3.9 stars out of 10 — the highest ranking on this list. Old 37 stars Miley Cyrus's sister, Brandi Cyrus, as well as Bill Moseley and Kane Hodder.

BULLETFACE: 3.7

In 2010, Bulletface arrived in theaters. One IMDb user thought the movie was blatantly "awful," and wrote, "There is 'low-budge[t]' written all over it and it is sheer disrespect for the audience."

The movie revolved around a DEA agent who was trying to rescue her brother from the underground world of drugs. After she kills an undercover agent on the job, she gets jail time, which is where the real nightmare begins. She soon learns that the jail collects dead inmates' organs and that her brother was murdered. And in a strange turn of events, she also learns that human spinal fluid is involved with altering some kind of special drug that changes your DNA...uh, what? It's no wonder it was only given a 3.7.

THE BLACK ROOM: 3.3

The Black Room was released in 2017 and was so bad there's literally one sentence describing the film on its own Wikipedia page.

After Paul and Jennifer Hemdale move into their new home, they find a mysterious room in their basement. As they find out, there's a presence living in this room that tortures whoever gets too close. Eventually, the presence takes over Paul's body and the horror story takes off from there. Now, is it just us or does this sound like a lot like The Amityville Horror?

THE OUIJA EXPERIMENT: 3.2

Hitting screens in 2014, The Ouija Experiment was only given a 3.2 on IMDb and 14% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's pretty bad. As always, the Ouija board is a game that's played only by the brave, because some mysterious things can occur. In this movie, a group of friends decide to play the game and record the entire session for proof of anything creepy happening. Drama among this group takes front and center and when bad things arise, the friends goes head to head. It seems like a good storyline in theory, but fell short.

AUGUST UNDERGROUND'S MORDUM: 3.1

With a 3.1 rating, August Underground's Mordum didn't sit right with the few viewers it had. One fan even wrote, "Although it is disturbingly violent, it is a waste of film-making and audience time." on the movie's IMDb page.

So what's it about? Shot like a home video, two deranged friends go on a killing spree, collecting couples and killing them in the most unstable of ways. It's gory, it's raw, it's bloody; overall, it was so disturbing, most viewers couldn't even sit through it.

THE PROFANE EXHIBIT: 2.7

We've finally come to the movies that are so poor they didn't even crack 3 stars out of 10. The Profane Exhibit released in 2013 and takes place at an underground nightclub of sorts in France. In one private room, we learn it's where disturbed and evil people meet where we're then thrown down a rabbit hole of their own insanity. With a 2.7 rating, one viewer actually called it the "disappointment of the century." Oof.

THE EXORCISM OF ANNA ECKLUND: 2.4

For whatever reason, the horror world loves a good exorcism story. It's almost hard to keep up. In this instance, we're focusing on The Exorcism of Anna Ecklund. Premiering in 2016, it follows the true story of a dedicated churchgoer and housewife, Anna Ecklund. As you can imagine, her husband tries to get her all the help he could from priests, but things only get worse from there.

If you're wondering what makes this movie different from the other exorcism movies, the answer is nothing. As one viewer wrote on the IMDb page, "Girl is possessed, priests get 'clearance' to perform exorcism, demon possesses the priests, rinse and repeat."

ROMINA: 2.2

After being released in 2018, Romina got roasted by viewers on IMDb, who gave it a lousy 2.2 out of 10 stars. Just like every classic scary movie, things take a turn for the worse when a group of friends go hiking and come into contact with a loner. When looking at some of the reviews from viewers, most agreed on many of the same things — the acting was horrible, the production was cheap, and there was nothing inspiring about the film to make it a standout. In all, this movie sucked.

AMERICAN POLTERGEIST: 2.1

Just like exorcisms, the horror world also loves poltergeists. There's something about a strange entity entering a nice person's body that makes you want to stick around. However, that mindset fell flat with 2015's American Poltergeist.

The story takes place in Massachusetts, where a group of friends rent an old house for the summer. As always, one girl feels a strange sensation in the house and begins to see things. Eventually, these visions become all too real and a poltergeist is introduced. Many viewers consider this to be the worst movie they've ever seen.

THE OUIJA EXPERIMENT 2: THEATRE OF DEATH: 1.8

You're not seeing double, The Ouija Experiment (the first movie) is also on this list with a higher rating. Knowing how poorly the first movie did, it's shocking writers thought it was a grand idea to make a second one, which was titled The Ouija Experiment 2: Theatre of Death.

In the sequel, we see a bunch of theatregoers (?) get involved with the dreaded Ouija board and all hell breaks loose from there. One review even called it "almost comically bad," which is proof in its 1.8 rating!
