With around a week to go before it officially launches, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is bringing lots of changes and new content to the long-running MMORPG. Along with plenty of new dungeons, there's also a new endgame raid in Shadowlands called Castle Nathria. Here's everything to know about Word of Warcraft's newest raid and its bosses.

After a delay in October, many Word of Warcraft fans who missed the beta are excited to see Shadowlands' content for the first time. A pre-launch event for Word of Warcraft: Shadowlands is currently happening within the game, and it comes with its own questline and dailies. However, it's just a small taste of what's coming at the end of the month, when the full Shadowlands expansion arrives.

The latest World of Warcraft expansion brings several changes, most notably a major level squish, new zones, and eight new dungeons. Shadowlands is releasing at the end of November, and the new Castle Nathria battle raids will officially kick off on December 8th. Home to the evil Sire Denathrius, Castle Nathria is located at the center of one of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' zones, Revendreath.

All Castle Nathria Bosses In World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' Castle Nathria is a ten-boss endgame raid that promises to drop loot of item level 158. Some of the new armor pieces in Shadowlands are already being teased (see above photo), and they'll drop from a variety of bosses. The ten bosses that are part of the Castle Nathria raid in Shadowlands are:

  • Shriekwing
  • Huntsman Altimor
  • Hungering Destroyer
  • Artificer Xy'Mox
  • Sun King's Salvation
  • Lady Inerva Darkvein
  • The Council of Blood - Castellan Niklaus, Lord Stavros, and Baroness Frieda
  • Sludgefist
  • Stone Legion Generals - Kaal and Grashaal
  • Sire Denathrius

While most of these World of Warcraft: Shadowlands bosses are single targets, the Council of Blood is made up of three separate enemies: Castellan Niklaus, Lord Stavros, and Baroness Frieda. Likewise, Kaal and Grashaal are two enemies as part of the Stone Legion Generals fight. In addition to gear, players can acquire weapons tokens to exchange for weapon tints based on whatever Covenant the player chooses to join.

Completing World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' Castle Nathria will count toward weekly raid objectives in-game, which gives players a chance to score extra pieces of loot. Although the raid isn't available just yet, the bosses and items shouldn't change too much from what was seen during the beta and some of the pre-patch notes and teases. Although World of Warcraft: Shadowlands releases in one week, Castle Nathria won't open up until December 8th.
